Medium plans to start letting more and more authors publish paywalled articles. And to determine how they get paid, the blogging platform has selected a fairly unorthodox method: claps, which are,...

Social stars want more from Snapchat than the platform seems willing to offer.

People consume internet, not mobile internet
Everyday I hear the industry buzzwords (my favourite at the moment is "let's not boil the ocean", yep that is an actual quote) which make me more than a bit embarrassed to work in the industry.
As backward as it seems people are still talking about mobile, specifically about how people consume internet on their phone.
My feeling is that consumers, the end users, do not really care about how they read their internet.....all they care about is being able to access their content when they want.
What does this mean for us as marketers?
No matter how good your message or content is, unless it can be consumed by your customers by the method they choose, it will miss the mark.
Why I Love Digital Marketing
I am not sure how many people are currently doing their "dream" job.
I know as a 40 year old with dodgy knees the chances of me becoming a professional footballer are reducing every week. All that said, apart from professional sport, if I had to be doing anything it would be digital marketing.
Why?
I can not think of another industry that changes as often as digital marketing. Just over 9 years ago the first iPhone was just hitting our palms, tablets were clunky blocks of metal that used a funny wand (stylus anyone?) and if you could get data on your phone it would cost you an arm and a leg.
Everyday something changes. It is an exciting challenge to keep up to date.
This blog will be my thoughts on all things digital marketing. Feel free to jump in with any questions or comments.
