The Plot
The year is 129 AC and it is the start of a warm and golden summer. Westeros is currently in the longest stretch of peace that it has known since the conquest; the smallfolk sing praises of King Viserys and his wife, Queen Alicent, and fawn over the princes and princesses wherever they go, thankful for the royal family that has provided them with full bellies and peace of mind. However, tensions are rising steadily in the court. Alicent has given Viserys three healthy and strong boys. Many believe the eldest, Aegon, should inherit over his sister, Rhaenyra, daughter of the late Queen Aemma Arryn. Yet Rhaenyra is not without her own supporters, people who have sworn to uphold her claim to the throne, and the biggest seems to be her father, who has not yet renounced his decision that she should follow him as Queen Regnant. These separate factions are known as the Greens and the Blacks.
