clark and bruce are doomed from the start, two people on the complete opposite sides of the spectrum revolving around each other, entangled. some may call them star crossed lovers, destined to meet, to be each other’s everything, until they aren’t. every good thing has to come to an end. they burn, they crash, they ruin each other to the point where it makes one (or both) of them go insane. somehow this feels inevitable though in every time line, universe and lifetime it’s always them. especially when it shouldn’t be. as if it’s always destined to start and end in such disharmony.

and yet the universe sees this, sees how it will never work, and chooses to repeat itself again and again and again. across all the multiverses, because superbat isn’t just a ship it’s an ever consuming black hole. it’s everything.

and so they cycle repeats, this time with tim and kon. they effortlessly fill the moulds carved out from their parents, like they didn’t mean to. no on planned on them falling hard, fast and helplessly in love. some could argue that the universe was sick in some way, making this ever consuming cycle repeat. acting as a curse for the next generation.
