hands down the worst thing about being a homestuck fictive (other than, like, how generally terrible homestuck is to be an active part of) is that a lot of stuff really important to who you are is fucking nonsense to any non-homestucks. they dont even know constructs of The Game. they dont know The Game at all. they dont understand how bullshit it all is. they dont get the complicated self-fulfilling loops that make literally everything in the plot happen, set in place by of course the fucking Game. cant mention my Bro and dirk without explaining ectobiology and the stupid time and alternate universe shit that goes on, and like thats one of the easy ones
mhm, for myself, while trickster mode isn’t the hardest thing to make people understand, they also miss out on the nuance of it if they haven’t read the comic. like “drug induced manic state” isn’t wrong per se, but also misses out on all of the sweets theming and bright color schemes and how it contrasts with grimdarkness!!
