Neil likes to run his fingers over Andrew’s bare skin whenever he’s given permission and it turns into one of Andrew’s favourite things. Sometimes if it’s a good day and they’ve got the dorm to themselves he’ll just grab Neil’s arm and drag it over to rest on Andrew’s bicep or his stomach or, if he’s feeling particularly brave, his leg. He won’t say anything but Neil always bites back a smile and keeps drawing beautiful lines and patterns all up Andrew’s skin until he’s almost trembling from how delicately Neil touches him.
It’s months before he realizes that the shapes Neil is drawing are actually his math homework problems. He doesn’t speak to Neil for almost two weeks when he figures it out.
