Some of the prayer beads I’ve made. One of my favorite ways to pray!
This In the Sun hat (paid pattern on Ravelry) is made with Plymouth Yarn’s Nettle Grove in Sandcastle! Blocking over a ball of plastic bags until my starch gets here so I can stiffen the crown. Looking forward to giving this for Mother’s Day!
Picked up some new stitch markers during Little Yarn Store appreciation day! This shawl had so many repeats that I had to use the stitch marker holders as well as every single stitch marker!
Working on a Lucky Celtic Infinity Scarf (free pattern on Ravelry) in Caron Cakes Red Velvet!
I miscabled this stocking, and didn’t notice until it was completely put together… Thankfully, I found a tutorial on darning socks and pieced together a makeshift fix, and now I’m completely happy with the result!
I laid down the cuff of this Christmas stocking on my iPad, which is also my pattern. It really helped me see the short rows in action! I know how to do them, but this picture helped me better picture how they work.
NaKniCroMo Day 27: Pets
Here’s Smeowgal! She likes to sit in my lap, especially when I’m on a knitting binge (and therefore unlikely to move for quite some time). Unfortunately for her, some of my recipients are allergic to cats, so I try to keep her off those projects....
She’s a brat, but she’s *my* brat!
So, this pattern knits up super quickly! The front piece is done, already cast on the back. Then I’ll knit the cuff, and sew it all together! Check my previous post for the pattern.
My mom asked me to make she and her husband matching Christmas stockings (free pattern from Ravelry), so I decided to get a head start on them. A pretty quick knit, using Red Heart Super Saver doubled, which should help keep the stocking from stretching when filled. Thinking about recommending a lining as well, but I’m not sure I can put one in, so we’ll see…

Share Your Progress!
I have finished just over half the scarf (11 repeats of 20), and then I’ll knit a square for the back of the head and crochet around it to bind it to the scarf. So probably a little less than half done, over all, but getting there!
PS: I didn’t post Saturday because I laughed WAY too hard at the prompt (How You Organize: I don’t), and I didn’t post yesterday because you’ve seen my Craft Journal page an awful lot already....
#NaKniCroMo Day 4 Worst Habit: Not checking my pattern often enough. Then I have to drop down a few rows when I realized I messed up... Especially this pattern, which has some twisted stitches and some not!
#NaKniCroMo Day 3 Best Habit? Knitting while I watch TV! A nice way to be physically productive without mental taxation.
NaKniCroMo Day 2: How You Plan--It's a mixture of this page in my journal and flying by the seat of my pants. I usually plan big picture stuff in my journal, and plan the details as I go... I started that scarf I posted for day 1 four times because I couldn't make the plan in my head match what was coming off the needles!
NaKniCroMo Day 1: Share your goals--I want to finish this scarf and Mom's fuck-socks! If I'm lucky, maybe I can start on that pillow or my first ever commission!
My latest WIP! A Christmas present for a friend, who saw me working another pattern in this color, and she fell in love. I told her to pick a pattern, and I'd make her something in this color (Knit Picks Fairy Tale, available in many of their yarns and weights). She found some hooded scarf patterns, and I got inspired, so I asked if I could customize her something. She loves owls, so I reached out to the Owlie socks pattern maker and asked if I could borrow her chart. I'm so glad I did! Framed by simple cables on the sides and garter blocks above and below, these owls are subtle and adorable! The rest of the scarf is in hunter rib, which I also love. Can't wait to finish this and see her wear it!
Current WIP!
