Another Trip’s Pokemon have in common is (aside from Vanillite), is a royal/noble theme! To match Serperior being the Regal Pokemon, pageboy haircut’s also the go-to anime haircut for fairy tale prince characters in a lot of anime/manga. Conkeldurr’s Japanese Robushin is literally old warlord (bump on its head is topknot-inspired). Frillish/Jellicent is clear, Lampent if it evolves into Chandelure has a crown too, and Tranquill/Unfezant is partly pheasant-inspired, pheasants=imperial symbol.
