Positively begging for the uncut version of Miss Americana.

We know there was enough footage that it could have been several hours longer, and that the point/focus of the documentary shifted midway through.

We also know that even tho director Lana Wilson spent over a year with Taylor, sharing all of her most intimate moments, during what should have been the height of her relationship with Joe, during moments when a "good partner" would have absolutely been there with her...

...Lana didn't meet Joe until the very end of the Miss Americana production.

And I think most of us know why that is.

I still hold hope that we will one day get the uncut version of Miss Americana, that we will one day have the "hidden lover" revealed and that we will learn the truth about the ring she was wearing...

The large number of songs Taylor Swift has made that are about forbidden love is very telling, if you ask me. Not to mention how she’s constantly referencing Christianity, and churches, and old-fashioned beliefs, and sin, and religion in general. Like, are y’all really not hearing her?

And there’s a huge amount of Taylor Swift songs where she uses the pronoun “you” for the muse, not describing them as a man nor a woman, whilst also mentioning one or more of her past love interests, describing them as “Kens” and “playthings for her to use”, talking about how she’s been toying them around and how they never satisfied her in the same way her current muse does… the boys and their expensive cars have never taken her quite where her current muse does. And isn’t it funny how the muse in question is almost never explicitly stated to be a man in songs like this?

I just find it strange how so many people seem to completely miss this. Taylor Swift haters often use the argument “All her songs are about her exes” when hating on her, but if you ask me, “All her songs are about forbidden love, religious guilt to some degree and how society will never accept her and her love” is much more accurate.

now that trump has tiktok, twitter, facebook and insta in his pocket, get ready for a massive wave of internet censorship. one of trump's greatest weapons has always been misinformation; it's going to become harder and harder to spread facts and criticism going forward. posts that aren't made invisible will be magically ignored by the algorithm. dissidents will have their accounts deleted and voices erased.

this is a suppression tactic. this is another stage of fascism.

the second screenshot is looking up the same exact thing, but with a (australian) vpn on. canadian vpn didn't fix it fyi.

THIS is exactly the type of censorship to be looking out for on tiktok. this actually is crazy.

I'm actually going to start using this again, seeing as even if Tiktok manages to get unbanned, it's very likely to involve conditions that will make it even less queer-friendly than it previously was.

I spent 38 years of my life wholly pretending to be something and someone that I was not because I was lied to and told that my life would be happier, healthier, and more successful if I just did like everyone else did, and found a man to settle down with. Instead, I found years of misery. I cannot go back to overthinking every word I say for fear I get outed and ostracized.

I intend to make gaylor content and content about sapphic themes in pop music. I'll probably also share some birds and some lifestyle stuff. Just depends on what I'm vibing with rn.

This post is so right, and also, as an addendum, besides the fact that digital literacy is a learned skill that (at least in the US) schools stopped funding because of the idea that "since kids have computers at home, they don't need to be taught how to use them," gen Z and Gen Alpha are growing up alongside technologies that developers are making increasingly opaque and hard to navigate, exactly because it serves companies better if people can't alter or curate their own experiences online.

So these poor kids are getting the double whammy of "haven't been taught how to use the technology" and "technology is getting worse and harder to use" at the same time. I've been in classrooms with highschool students who are by all accounts very bright! But they have no concept of online safety, checking sources, doing real research. A lot of kids Who Are Otherwise Good Students had to be walked through how to open any program besides a browser window. And this is just stuff I personally saw during my stint as a substitute instructor. It's really disheartening to see how badly they've been hung out to dry.

Block these sites in your uBlock Origin so you won't see that shit in your searches

The extension in the screenshot is uBlacklist and it's quite easy to use, both manually from the control panel to add the sites with the asterisk, or when in a search results page and clicking the "block this site" option. It's how I've gotten rid of random Pinterest site results, too.
