5 years ago I looked at this wall and was absolutely blown away when I heard people try to climb it. . But one day I woke up from a dream. A dream to complete what to me today seems like the impossible. . Today I take the first step into pursing this dream. . The dream of climbing El Capitan. Sleeping on a porta ledge 2000 feet in the air looking back at this exact moment. . The coming months you will get the chance to see my process, from A to Z I will be sharing my journey to pursue this dream. . It’s not going to be easy, and by no means am I a pro, but that’s the beauty of this journey, this dream. Last week I decided to challenge yet another impossible for myself. Climb down to the bottom of the grande canyon and hike all the way up and out the other end. Then doit again and hike back! 2 x days, 48+ miles, 11k+ elevation gain. One hell of a mental challenge... . As the sun rose above the canyon walls and the pebbles skipped thousands of feet down the cliff sides, all I could think was “What’s the rush?”. It’s sad that it took me hiking 48 miles through the Grand Canyon to realize this in its entirety, but with the world I live in, the distractions seem endless. It has come to my full realization that it’s okay to take a moment, a breath, a day, or even a month to just enjoy the moment, because who’s counting anyway? . Being all alone with just my homie @rrokosz73 on this 48 mile journey back and forth through the canyon put it into mad perspective that no one’s actually watching, and it’s up to myself alone to enjoy this journey, to trust my intuition, to believe in myself, and to never stop following my heart, no matter who tries to break it. . Through the endless struggles of being a young immigrant entrepreneur, it’s easy to get lost in the process of success. I’ve found that escaping to places where I can fully disconnect from the outside world and put my body into an extreme state where I am reliant solely on my mental state both centers my soul and brings me to reality. Can you see me!? About 1000 ft down the start of Rim2Rim2Rim at the Grand Canyon in Arizona! . For a moment, time shuts off and we travel back, but not in time, we travel back through the passages of our minds like an ol western movie. With 140 degree heat waves and 48 miles to go, I stand hands on my holster ready to draw at the barrel of a gun to see who is going to win this time. . Adventure to me is battling the demons and appreciating the fortitudes. There is something unexplainable that happens when you 100% disconnect from your surroundings and push yourself to extreme limits. To face your shadow self with the purity of Mother Nature is something many lack the mental stability to even comprehend how much it can benefit one’s life. It’s the mountains, the sky, oceans and rivers, that heal me. it’s the 6000ft 360 degree walls that corner me into submission and challenge me to be the best person I can be. This world is here to lift you high into the heavens, but don’t think you’re not going to pay your dues and be broken down. . The Grand Canyon changed my life yet again. It opened my mind wider than its ever been, my heart warmer than I’ve ever felt, eyes clearer than I’ve ever seen, and soul brighter than I’ve ever felt. It’s this personal growth that adjusts my frequency to help me get to those new levels. . *Real Personal Talk* . The last year has been one hell of a roller coaster. Huge successes, major losses, and what seemed like endless attack’s to my inner self. I lost everything I had built for 5 straight years and made the decision to officially cut ties and step away from the people that a long time ago, added to my life but quickly began to suck from it. It lead to a rough but very much needed break up, making a few crazy financial decisions and investments that I thought back fired and could possibly have effected me for a very long time. It all pilled up on me and pushed me to my ultimate limit. . I didn’t know it was possible for me to feel as low as I did that month. But it’s proof to me that even the strongest have their bad days.... . I felt so low I didn’t know what to do with myself... . So, I ran. I ran deep into the mountains. I spent an entire week to myself meditating, hiking, facing my inner demons, looking back at all the years, the faces, the moments and appreciating life in general. I visualized where I wanted to be in my life and asked internally where my heart belongs. . It’s funny because after this week, it felt as if I grew wings. For the very first time, I felt a spark of love for MYSELF! I realized that I wasn’t loving myself and that I was only trying to constantly be in pursuit to make someone else happy. . I knew that this simple week wouldn’t be enough, so I decided to begin challenging myself in ways I never had before. I started going on these personal journeys, hikes, meditations and focused all of my energy on personal development until I was so happy with where I was that nothing felt like it mattered anymore. . This lead me to test this new mental strength, I wanted to see if I could break down these new feeling and challenge everything I’ve ever known by pushing myself into doing what I thought was the impossible. Hike Rim2rim2rim. 48 miles, 10k elevation gain in scorching heat of the summer in only 2 days... . The journey was a success, it broke me down in ways I could never imagined but I came out with the biggest smile, knowing that today, I AM HAPPIER THAN IVE EVER BEEN BEFORE!!! . Today was a little bit different... Instead of waking up feel motivated, inspired or even a little sad (we all have those days), today I woke up feeling satisfied and unstoppable. The happiest, and most fulfilled I’ve ever felt. . The last few months I’ve been dealing with a lot of people who I once held close to my heart try to take down everything I’ve created. But here’s the thing, no demons can ever take your soul. That’s yours, you built it, and it’s up to you to protect it. . What I’ve learned this year is that once you find that inner strength, self love, and appreciation for yourself, there’s nothing that anyone can ever take from you, because it’s all you will ever need 💪🏽 . We’ve all heard the line “you’re not alone”. But let’s face it. We are. And the sooner we realize that, the better. Everyone of us has our own paths, with our own goals, dreams aspirations and pursuits of happiness. People are going to come and people are going to go. But the sooner you realize that it is you alone on this path, the sooner you can see how much stronger you need to become to stay on it. Too many fall off their course to their death. But stay on it, stay strong and never forget what got you onto it in the first place. Life is hard, and the road is bumpy, but this is your life. So protect it! *ADVENTURE JOURNAL* 📓 Page 1: As the 4th quarter comes to a near close, I realized that I needed a spark of creativity and A little refresh to finish the year off properly. It’s been the most rewarding, hardest earned year of my life, I grew more in 2019 than I could have ever imagined and I felt like I needed A quick trip back home to Canada, to visit some family, and realign my sights for 2020 with a fresh soul. This turned from a simple 2 week idea to fly up to Yukon, Canada (beside Alaska), into a 6 week road trip up the PCH all the way to Alaska and back, stopping in visiting friends and working on the go, waking up to some of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen and adventuring thru every stop! I used to always question how to live a life like this, but I came to realize it’s probably the simplest and most exhilarating way to live and soooo much easier, affordable and realistic than I could ever have imagined. I have everything I need in this Subaru, @visiblemobile supported the trip and hooked me up with unlimited 4gLTE service and WiFi which is how I’m actually able to get everything I need done every day!! I’m starting to wonder if I’m ever going to come back home to LA... I may just stick to these highways a little longer than I expected... 6 weeks of waking up to a new ocean or lake view office every morning... To think people pay millions to experience the same thing is insanity. I’ve never been happier in my entire life! Obviously the van life isn’t going to be me forever, but it’s definitely one hell of an escape, and with everything I need being right at my finger tips, I have no excuse or reason to stop at the moment! 3 years ago I made the decision to never be home again on the weekends. I used to dread my business calls, but now they excite me. Not only does a business call mean that I get to go hike a mountain and test my cardio (try hiking and talking... not easy), but I also get to laugh at all the ridiculous responses I get when I’m describing my view 😂 life is good! What is luxury to you? To me it’s being able to be whatever I want to be. To me it’s knowing that if I want something bad enough I’ll get it. It’s being connected to the world, it’s sharing my love, and it’s making my favorite people happy every morning. To me, luxury is a way of life, it’s a form of self love, care and appreciation. It’s not always about what car you drive, but more so about how you drive it and how far you push it off the road. That’s the type of way of life I’m talking about! .
