To celebrate the birthday of our God of Rot, we've released Ronin, How I Hate Those Guys (A4) by @malibebouu as a merch print! 🫶

Ther x Reader x Ronin (Gluttony Gods)

premise: Ronin's back in town now. Ther thinks you two should come over. You might not make it through the night.

word count: 567

warnings: canon typical gore & murder

Ronin’s leaning with his back up against the bed, messing with eyeballs in his hands (where did he get all of those anyways? and where’s he been storing them?) You’re propped up on the pillows of Ther’s bed. The two of you watch a shitty early morning TV show playing quietly while you wait for Ther to leave the bathroom and join you both.

Your face is flushed and sore; a whine of pain passes through your lips before you can stop it.

“Aw, so sweet.” Ronin drawls, turning away from the shitty show to look at you. He moves to pinch your cheek again, but you quickly move away to hide in the bedsheets.

He clicks his tongue. “Coward.”

You're not technically supposed to be here. Neither is Ronin. It’s past midnight and the two of you snuck into Ther’s room hours ago to keep hanging out. Ronin claimed it was “keeping the party going.” You’ve not been to any parties, but you can assume they’re nothing like what Ther and Ronin get up to with luring and dragging the freaks around here into the woods to string them up by their organs.

You didn’t mind that part.

You do mind, however, Ronin and Ther’s insistent teasing. Ther at least tries to be a little more gentle with you, they can tell you’re at the end of your string. Ronin can tell you are as well. He just thinks it's funny to tease you like this. 

Throughout the entire murder earlier, the two pinched and squeezed your face, guiding your attention to the various tortures in front of you.

“It’s kinda pretty, in a gross way,” Ther commented, pulling you towards themself to show off their handy work. 

Ronin drags your gaze away next. “And exciting, don’tcha think?” He squishes the aorta in his fingers.

“Something like that,” you nod politely. 

Ronin huffs at your response. Ther rolls their eyes at his dramatics.

The night had dragged the three of you back to Ther’s room to mindlessly enjoy each other’s company. It was nice; Ronin had only returned a couple days ago to Angelwood, and it already feels like he never left. You and Ther had been enjoying each other’s company, but it’s never the same without all three of you present.

(You and Ther had taken some private time to talk about Ronin’s return. Ther had been pink in the face, grumbling that “he wasn’t supposed to get hotter.” You had laughed at them, teasing that they couldn’t handle his botched self-given haircut and dye job. They had swatted at you. You suppose your treatment today is Ther’s way of getting revenge.)

Ronin’s still trying to sweet talk you out from hiding when Ther emerges from the bathroom with wet hair and pajamas. “Still harassing them, Ro?” Ther grins. 

You hear Ronin turn to look at them; he lets out a low whistle, followed immediately by the sound of Ther smacking his arm. “Be quiet,” Ther rolls their eyes, ignoring the pink flush on their face. “What did you do to them, Ronin?”

“Nothin’,” Ronin says. “I haven’t had the chance to do what I want yet.”

“Let me help you then,” Ther giggles. You can feel their attention shift to your bundled up form. You tense.

“Aren’t they adorable like this?” The devil grins.

“The cutest,” the hellspawn prom queen agrees.

God help you.

a/n: i love love love thernin so this was a treat to write <3 only at the end did i realize how goddamn good Taco Truck x VB was accidently structured into this fic but blessings or whatever. i haven't had a chance to replay Gluttony Gods so apologies for bad character writing </3
