Today I announce that I will be doing a live blog of Buffy, I look forward to seeing how this all works out. I have not seen the series in many years.

The Harvest Part III

Welcome back to the eps. 

I really like that Xander and Willow are being proactive setting up a search engine run on all the things that may lead to Vampires. It’s a small scene but says a lot about how they end up on the team. They both want to help, but Xanders kind of help amounts to Buffy having two people to help instead of just one. I’m watching you Xander and so is Willow.

Buffy has entered the place of dead, Que the creepy music. Angel dropping in during the day, nice touch and makes him look less like a vampire. Buffy and Angel have a nice back and forth conversation. Angel saying his not stopping the Harvest because he is afraid is a nice touch, Buffy kicking in the door is a better one. I like that Angel is played so differently from most guy leads. The whisper of “good luck” works great and plays the slow game towards what ever it is that they end up becoming. 

Next Scene, Buffy is in the tunnels on a good old fashion Vampire hunt.Surprise Xander! I would have thought Angel or vampire first, but no Xander wanting to help out his friends...how did he get past Angel? Xander you are a ton of weight making her job harder...you are not at the stage of helping. Xander you even know the list of helpful vampire slaying stuff and still failed to bring them along, you are now 2 tons of trouble, brake a chair leg if you got to, but get a stake. I to would find the story of Buffy beheading a football vampire with a small knife comforting and fun. Next scene.

Cordelia and Willow, oh no. Well, Cordelia is making up stories and Buffy and being mean to Willow, so I am hoping that she is vamp food sooner then later. Willow, nice, just hit deliver and all will be well, smiles.

The Harvest Part ll

Willow “I need to seat down”

Buffy “You are seating down” Willow “oh, good for me”

Good stuff, also they cover that vampires are demons, meaning that Buffy is a demon slayer, sweet. Vampires were the last demons on the Earth and they spread among humans growing in numbers.

Jesse your still alive, well that won’t last long your about to meet the master and he is going to drink you like a beer.

The slayer is talked about but why is there a slayer. I mean, did they cast a spell to get one, or is it a darkness resulting in a beam of light, why is there a slayer at all. I am wonder these things. 

Proof that she is the slayer. Luke “She fought me and still lives” The master “Nearly prove enough” That scene just works it’s really small but says so much. All of the scenes are well done and tight, nothing feels like waste. There is fun and funny parts everywhere, nice work Joss.

I love the guy they got for Luke, he is in a lot of tv shows as a stuntman and actor and is often wearing cosmetics to make him into an alien or monster. He always does a good job.

Willow is a hacker, oh I just happen to know how to de-encrypted the city council files. I love the Willow is a hacker, it’s always the ones you don’t suspect.

I like that Buffy figured out that the tunnel opening is located in the crept because Luke had to come from somewhere and he come from behind her. 

Poor Xander on the other hand gets the “I’m not up to the challenge and have been rejected speech, which was lame, and does not help his character.

Giles talks British, it happens and is amazing. 

WOW, the principle sucks, I do not like him at all. I love that he is talking about her having her feet on the ground and then she jumps the fence. 

Well that’s a wall of text and the end of the scene, so onto the next part we will go.

The Harvest Part 1

The eps starts by up with Buffy being coked by Luke, a very powerful vampire. Bad times for Buffy. Buffy is almost done for except she is wearing the cross that Angel get her, so her guardian Angel for the win.

At this point I am worries that she will not have time to save everyone, but thankfully she scares off Luke and she is running to save them. She saves everyone but Jess and than they good to the library. 

Giles tales them about how the world was not a place of light when it began, but was ruled by demons who made it their home. This is a big change of perspective from a world with demons in it to a universe  with worlds that demons rule. The demons lost control of Earth and then man come into the world and made a place for it’self in a dark universe, this makes me feel all warm and cozy.

Welcome to the Hellmouth

I just finished up watching Buffy the vampire slayer s1 e1 and it is just as good as when it air in the 1997. I am really liking the characters and how much fun the eps is to watch. The eps has a lot of ground to cover and is packed with lots of information that is covered brilliantly. All of the major characters are introduced and an event is set into action. The harvest is coming.

Buffy is in a bad way as the new student and one with a record of burning down the gym of her last school. She has a chance of making the in crowd but that get wrecked by Cordial who is mistaken for a vampire in the heat of the moment, but sadly was not staked, then starts making phone calls about Buffy, not good.

Giles is always a treat and gets the Slayer part of the story going. He is a Watcher and the lore master and trainer of the Slayer. He is also an amazing performer who is always involved with the cool stuff in the story.

Willow and Xander are both separably introduce to Buffy, Xander in the hallway helping Buffy with a lose stake and Willow with the tutoring of classes.

Jesse, you are a good character, but have been bitten, but to be far your still alive by eps 2 so you lasted longer then I thought you did, good work man.

The vampire master has arisen from the pool of blood and is on the move, what will happen next we will find out next time.

Life is short, that is Buffy’s view on life. So, she lives to the fullest and tries to find the fun in everything. This view is also part of the show and it is a wonderful blend of comedy and action.

I forget that Xander and Willow use to date, before the show started, time wise. Wow, the memories of how it will all turn out, I can’t wait to see the finale season all of this blogging is me building up to the end of the series. I can’t wait to see the conclusion.

Welcome to the Bronze, it’s a nice place with live music and food and drinks to be had. This place is in most of the series and is very cool, we get a lot of good music because of the bronze.

That is a nice cross, odds are that it is also silver, that would round it out. Also nice ring, I like gem rings.

I am curious about what he has given her, I’m betting on a cross. it has to be something small that fits in a case, so odds are good.

Buffy meets a mysteries stranger and kicks his butt. They then chat and he says they want the same thing “to kill them all” vampires most likes, but Buffy just wants to be left alone. I like the exchange, I forget that Angel was in the first eps of the series. it’s cool seeing him here.

Xander “All I can think of is that your making a very small fence” That is amazingly funny and Xander is getting better as the eps goes on.

Jess and Xander...excepted I can’t recall you Jess...I think you don’t make it passed the credits...not good. Interesting that they would make a major look character Vamp food, but that’s Joss for you.

He brought lots of books and items with him, Giles I hope you are manning the library, otherwise things will go straight into  a hell-mouth, oh look were already their. Never mind you are zone correctly.

Lets meet in the Library. Buffy “let’s not it’s creepy in there” Willow “yeah most people feel that way.” Willow that is not a good sign, and they have way to many magic books inside that place for everyone's well being. Hopefully Giles keeps the “good books” off the selves.

Oh Buffy, you asking Willow to tutor you makes her the happiest girl in the whole wide world. Just look at how much she lights up. Good times.

Buffy “Willow right?”

Willow “Why, oh I mean hi?”

Willow you have every reason and more to be suspicious, but welcome to the adventure of a life time with all the good and bad times that brings forth.
