What is Stitch's rank?

 Rank-wise he’s a Trooper. However in matters of unit health, a medic can actually countermand someone of technically higher rank. So medics in specific scenarios kind of exist outside the normal chain-of-command.

Headcanon time

Due to the lack of resources and how triage is prioritized in the GAR. Medics conducting mercy killings in the field are an open secret. Because if a medic can’t save/stabilize another trooper. The next best thing they can do minimize their suffering.
