It’s probably a strange and autistic thing to say given the context of the image, but there is something I find uniquely harrowing yet comforting about it. the black background emits a threatening overtone that contrasts with the bizarre intimacy, combined with characters you’re familiar with. It invokes the feeling that comes with abuse like this that I can’t describe
