victor’s head was elsewhere ( as usual ). so much so that he hardly noticed himself walking in the path of someone else. he did realize though once he collided with the other person resulting in a mess of books falling to the ground around them. ❝ i am so sorry ! ❞ he rushed out, scrambling to help pick up some of the other’s belongings.
“don‘t touch my stuff,” vidia snapped, snatching the book out of his hands and regathering her belongings. the book (frankenstein, because she had a quiet fondness for the prose) was the top of a stack of three, with the other two being taken from the fitness section. she had decidedly low expectations for those two. it was why she’d been meandering her way over to the biography section, in the hopes that some athlete’s life story might miraculously jump out to her. as she straightened, readjusting the bag on her shoulder, she made sure to give him an appropriately annoyed expression. “do i need to be prepared to dodge everyone when i come in here, or is it just going to be you?” she drawled, still too annoyed for the words to be properly condescending, but making up for it with aforementioned annoyance.
