Small Ways To Improve Your Life
make your bed to immediately make your room look more put together
water first, then coffee or tea
pray or meditate, even just for ten minutes, to set the tone for your day
browse the news headlines ( & read the articles that interest you when you’ve got time)
wear something you feel b o m b in
listen to music while doing your daily activities-commuting, cleaning, cooking, exercising
smile at at least two people
smile at YOURSELF
call or message someone you love
eat food that makes you feel radiant
make lists of things you need to accomplish for the day
stretch for 10 minutes
record in your phone the positive thoughts you have so you can remember them
carry water with you (always always always)
shut off your phone for an hour and have some ME time
take a hot shower or bath at the end of a stressful day
try to make plans to spend time with someone at least once a week
think about 3 things you are grateful for at the end of each day
do something calming, relaxing, and non-electronic 30 minutes before you sleep
sleep pants-less
pre-tempo sky at 6:15AM, post-tempo oats ✨
Just think: stick to your plans, and in 6 months, you might not even recognize yourself.
Hey babe, a little while ago my longterm boyfriend broke up with me, which blindsided me but in hindsight was the best thing for both of us. I've mostly been really ok, but recently have been feeling so lonely. I find myself looking for and wishing I was in a relationship to give myself something to look forward too/fight for which is such a crumby feeling. I'd like to use this time alone to reinvest in myself and refocus back on what really matters to me but I'm finding that hard. Any tips? xx
i am so sorry to hear this love! i know this time/season of life/how you’re feeling is super uncomfortable and hard and uncertain, but growth IS supposed to feel this way. i know it’s hard right now, but try to just take things one day at a time, and don’t get frustrated with yourself if you feel “stuck.” things take time – change does not happen in 1 day or 1 week, you have to sometimes just “endure” it for a bit, but it WILL get better. i would sit down and really reflect on what it is you’re passionate about and what your goals are? in a job, in life, in a hobby, for yourself, with family, friends, etc? surround yourself with people who lift you up and make you life and inspire you right now too.
