(he/she/they) 19 - here for the laios content and I brought my polyam ocs. please give me prompts for them. laios included. I LOVE WRITING (character) X READER STUFF.
so if you know me from Instagram you know why I’m here. More Defying Sea (Laios) content!! I can take requests for fics whether they’re sfw or nsfw (hell, even DS oc x reader stuff) as early as rn!!! Thank you to everyone here reading and considering a request :]
this is meant positively by the way. sometimes you love the character so much you end up putting a piece of yourself in it to learn how it is to love yourself without realising and thats ok.
everyday i think about laios. I eat, sleep, and breathe laios. He is my live, laugh and love. I love laios. Laios might love me. But I love him. And he loves monsters. Monsters fear laios. Laios should fear me. Because i want nothing but to consume his every being. He is so me.

author’s note — based off a tiktok comment (by rinnulop) talking about how listening to laios infodump about monsters would be the best form of aftercare. agreed with it so hard i wanted to write about it.
content — sfw, laios x gn!reader, aftercare, infodumping
Laios wasn’t too much of an expert at the social nuances of sharing a bed with someone. He’s definitely not perfect nor too experienced, but god would he try his best for you.
After it all, when you’re both catching your breaths, Laios would always be the first to check up on you. Whether he’s on top or bottom, he takes a second to cup your face and repeatedly asks you if you’re okay. He trusts you to tell him the truth, if you’re hurt, or exhausted, he’ll take it to heart.
No matter the outcome, he’ll treat you so so gently and delicately. He’s a little stiff with praise, but he’ll try every possible act of affection that he’s learned from living creatures on you. He’ll hold your hand like the Living Armor, or nuzzle into your neck to leave his scent like a cat. However, he’ll never be too shy for forehead kisses, starting from the temple, down to the bridge of your nose, and even towards your jaw. If he finds a mark he left on you, he’ll do everything to soothe the area and kiss it too.
After a nice bath and a change of clean clothing, Laios settles you into the bed in his arms. You don’t notice it too often because you’re so sleepy, but Laios tends to examine your body. He tries so hard to apply his knowledge of monster behavior to how humans act. He checks your breathing, your scent— god, he’ll check everything because he wants to learn how to be aware of every detail. He doesn’t want to miss a thing and risk misinterpreting anything again.
You could hear the gears in his mind spinning (or rather, the little whispers he lets out under his breath), and reassure him. You lean your head against his shoulder and close your eyes. “Laios, could you tell me about some monsters?”
If you were going to bed, the very thing you wanted to hear before falling asleep would be his voice in delicate hopes that you hear him in your dreams too.
The first time you ever requested such a thing, Laios didn’t quite understand why. But he never hesitated. He wraps you both in a blanket and starts uttering about shapeshifters. He goes on and on about how they read people’s perceptions of others, and as you’re slowly drifting to sleep, he’s reminded of the monster’s fur, whose texture could never compare to the softness of your touch.
Every night you ask him to infodump, he does so with a big genuine smile. Every night, he tells you about a different monster with the brightest gleam in his eyes. And every night, he’s grateful to share a bed with you, in this space he finally feels at home.
I’m reaching out with a quiet hope in my heart. These days are heavy, and my family is living through a reality filled with uncertainty—but I’m still here, doing my best to hold on and keep going.

disclaimer: I am bisexual, don't know a lot of lesbians, and i'm not in a ton of queer spaces
Writing a paper on biphobia and its effects in fandom because my wgss professor said I could + I wanted to try and see if I could get fandom input
Anyway, what are your guys' thoughts on M/F ships with bi characters? I know the "ship what you want it's not going to rewrite canon" rhetoric, but I've noticed canon bi women like Luz, Korra, and Asami get more shit when they're shipped with men. I've also seen the opinion that it's WLW/sapphic erasure to ship fem! bi characters with men
Any and all opinions help, but please stay respectful <3
I just think they get ton of stigma because its so easy to see or call them as straight.
However, it shouldn’t take away the fact that they are still queer, and people forget that! There’s absolutely nothing wrong with bisexual m/f ships, it’s just how the fandom perceive and mischaracterize them that gets terribly convoluted.
Characters should also be allowed the same agency to be women leaning or male leaning! It’s often not 50/50 from my experience as a bisexual.
Li Shang from Mulan is by far my FAVORITE bisexual coded character in media because his sexual tension with Ping/Mulan is so incredibly well written. Don’t tell me Shang didn’t have the LEAST bit of a crush on Ping with how close they’ve gotten throughout the movie. Shang would’ve TOTALLY been happy dating Ping if he was actually a guy. However, he’s also TOTALLY happy dating Mulan because her character, strengths and ambitions are what stood out to Shang the most, not her gender whatsoever.
Oh my god, don’t get me started on bisexual coded Jayce from Arcane. He’s explicitly attracted to Mel, but there are these amazing parallels between her and Viktor that give you the impression that Viktor means just as much to Jayce as Mel does. A character (Jayce) can be sexually attracted to one gender (Mel) while they can be emotionally attracted to the other (Viktor). However, just because Jayce is so explicitly shown to have been in a relationship with Mel, it doesn’t invalidate the romantic potential he has with Viktor. However, and this is important, characters shouldn’t be attacking Mel and Jayce as a ship. And Mel is in NO WAY keeping Jayce and Viktor from being together. In fact, she TOLD Jayce to check in on Viktor in Season 1.
TLDR: characters should have the same agency to love who they love. Whether characters are explicitly bi or bi coded, being shipped with the opposite gender doesn’t and SHOULDN’T make them any less queer. Just let consenting characters love other consenting characters, esp if theyre not harming anyone :(
