Last night (or rather, this morning) I woke my wife up at 4am and we made love before falling back asleep. When I woke up for the day, my early-riser came back to bed to cuddle me and make love again. I cooked us sausage, egg, and cheese croissants that we devoured while watching Grey’s Anatomy on the couch with our dogs and cats. We languidly completed a Magic Puzzle together throughout the day. I made us a BBQ spread for dinner including her favorite green bean casserole, and we watched live as A’ja Wilson hit 1,000 points in a single WNBA season. My wife made me pumpkin sugar cookies and we kissed goodnight in bed.

This is the life I always wanted and didn’t think could exist beyond my dreams. Simplistic, and perfect, and just… completely drenched in love. I’m so grateful that I get to have days like today, every day.
