spring 2018 simblr gift exchange!!

recently i got inspired to make a little event for the community. after thinking of simblreen and the holiday gift exchange, i  thought it would be fun to host a spring event!! there’s a bunch of info below, so all of your questions will be answered, don’t worry!! and, if you’re still confused, my inbox is open!! ♥

how does this work? i will be compling a list of all the people who wish to join, those who do will get matched up with another person, but!! the catch is that it’s secret!! so, you won’t know who your person was until you recieve your gift. however, in order to download your item, you must find the download link. more about that in the next category!!  what do you mean “find the download link”? i took a little bit of inspiration from egg hunting and deicded to put put this rule in for a little fun!! basically, it can be as simple as hiding your link somewhere in the discription, or you can go all out and make a little “svagener hunt” for them, it’s up to you!! but, the link must be hidden! what if i can’t make cc? even if you can’t mesh or recolor does not mean you’re excluded, don’t worry!! sims, builds, lookbooks, edits, ect are all welcome!! :) deadlines? i will stop accepting members on july 15th which means you’ll either find out who your partner is on that day or the 16th you have until the 30th to get your gift ready!! if you finish early, please hold on to it. you may start posting your gifts starting august 1st. this event ends on the 10th. how do i join/requirements? to join: -send me an ask!! or reply to this post, i’ll get your url down on my list. that’s all!! requirements: -you must be a ts4 simblr, apologies -you must have your messages open -you must meet the deadlines as best as you can -please don’t tell others who your partner is

So i’ve also been wanting to make this tutorial for a bit now as well but of course I had no time. Anyway i’ve only ever seen one other tutorial which was kinda complicated and involved alpha channels so I came up with my own way of doing it! I think this way is v easy tbh. Functional Radiators - Modern Edition

-  Custom tuning that works like a mix of the thermostat and heating lamp

Two little ‘bugs’: - Sadly I had to remove the ‘warmed’ buff you get when warming up by the heating lamp because it caused a UI glitch when your sim died of overheating (I will add it if I find a solution for this) - The ‘warm surroundings’ moodlet is always happy even if your sim is already feeling hot (it’s the same with the heating lamp so I don’t know how to change that)
