You can search the ends of this world for peace, you will not find it. You can find temporary replacements that come as quickly as they disappear. The very same thing you yearn for is right in front of you. It’s always been there. Allah puts us through trials to remind us of His favours that we continuously deny. He forgives us for things that we could never forgive ourselves for. Welcome trials with a smile on your face, The One who created you does not forget you like the people in your life do.

May Allah make us amongst those who are dear to Him. May He save us from our own souls and desires. May He protect us from the aimless enjoyment of this world. We wander aimlessly, our souls unfulfilled and yearning, yearning for its Owner.

The greatest loss anyone can have is losing touch with Allah. You can have anything and everything but if you’re not aware of your Creator then you’re happiness is superficial and temporary. It’s a weird feeling, you’re searching for that one thing that compliments your soul, the true foundation of your existence. You yearn for something but you don’t know what it is, but your soul does, the soul knows it’s Creator. Faith is a compass and without it we’re all aimlessly wandering amongst each other trying to make sense of life.

He is the most forgive and yet we find it hard to forgive ourself, when He holds all power and we hold nothing.

We all crave peace and happiness, it’s in our nature to do so. We seek it from things that only offer it temporarily. We’re in this constant battle, constantly searching for *something* to fill the void, sometimes *anything*. It becomes a self destructive ritual. If you’re looking for constant peace, removal of your anxiety and sadness, then who else to turn to but to The One who created you?

حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ

Allah is sufficient for me, there is no god but He; on Him do I rely, and He is the Lord of mighty power.

O Allah, You are my Lord, there is none worthy of worship but You. You created me and I am your slave. I keep Your covenant, and my pledge to You so far as I am able. Never ever ever ever ever ever underestimate the power of a prayer. When it is finally answered your heart will taste its sweetness. Alhamdulillah.

If you plan a journey you’re not going to sway from your path to the destination, are you? You’d like to get there with ease and as safely as possible without problems. That’s what this life is about, what matters is the destination, everything else is expendable. Don’t waste it by deviating from a path already created for you by the best role model that ever lived (peace be upon him).
