Seven.
cramming about a chapter’s worth of notes and questions all at once in one sitting. it ain’t fun.
Six.
Four, maybe five years ago I started this tumblr. I just found out today I still have this- I thought they deactivated this page like they do in some websites. Anyway, it's good to be back. Many changes happened over the years. But most importantly I'm still standing despite all things that have happened in my life. I am still standing. And I thank most importantly the lessons that I've learned in the years that passed. They helped shaped the present 'me'. Who would have known that I'd be this strong person standing, more confident, more at ease and in control? I've deleted previous posts- the melancholic ones. They depicted past pain. And I hope people can learn to leave the past behind. It is THE ONLY WAY TO MOVE FORWARD AND BEYOND. I learned it the hard way. I learned that I'd suffer more if I cling on to past burdens. I vow to never suffer again. I AM A SURVIVOR.

NUMBERS, THEY'RE EVERYWHERE!
Why does everything have to deal with numbers?
Why do numbers have to deal with everything?
A phone number displayed on an auto center glass window?
Building number of an apartment owned by Jews?
The limit of the number of cars that are allowed to park along St. Louis Ave?
The time when cars aren't supposed to park for street cleaning because it's a tow zone?
Gas price comparison (from Regular to Premium) in a gasoline station?
The ratio of commuters giving the CTA bus driver the exact change fare to the ratio of riders who purchase or use a CTA bus pass?
Numbers sort of rule the world- to me.
And we humans keep multiplying or adding up the number of the world's populace to occupy the earth's space.
Three more stops then I'm home.

five.
what does it take to confirm a certain feeling?
is it by how strongly we feel about it? or maybe how we react to it?
empty.
how do i confirm this feeling of emptiness?
or am i mistaking emptiness from loneliness?
either way i am standing at the middle of these two roads, uncertain and lost.
even fearful. afraid. jittery.
the reality send shivers down my spine just even thinking about it, denying i'm even living it?
i am undergoing a certain "unknown" defense mechanism.
there's no exact term to what it is.
i am getting to the point where i want to open up every suppressed feeling(s) and thought(s) that i am having. i don't even know what the outcome would be if i dare open up. and if i did, i wouldn't know exactly where to start, or what to prioritize.
but still, this isn't about priority.
this is about- finding the voice within.
and not have to face the universe in fear.
this is about standing on the same ground where my head and heart are level to each other. this is about the aftermath of the strength that i have gathered from the extent of my vulnerability.
this quest is about me. me finally ending the hostilities in my life, and moving on with the next chapter.
four.
i'm used to riding the bus and/or train(s) with my friends or co-workers.
today, i was commuting alone. i first took the blue line train that was headed to o'hare airport, got off on jefferson park from the irving park stop, took the 92- foster bus and finally arrived on my final destination. as i was commuting i realized that i missed writing/blogging. the last time that i had actually written a short story was in 2003. my story was based on a shocking documentary i watched on tv about poor people living on the slums in Manila selling their kidneys to foreigners just so that they could feed their families, even neighbors.
i wish i could share what i had written. trust me, i tried finding the notebook where i wrote my story down. i couldn't locate it. maybe i had misplaced it, or thrown it away. to me i think that was one of the best that i had ever written.
now i feel the very same urge to write as i did way back then when i wrote the story "living cadaver".
my eyes are beginning to droop. i'm yawning like crazy.
today was another day to miss something.
To my sister:
I love you, Jessy Lee Pearl!
With lots o' love..
