SECTION AT ROOF - OUTDOOR TERRACE

in order to prevent the entry of water into the building, the level of the outdoor terrace is often flush with the interior floor level or slightly below. since the assembly of the outdoor floor is higher than on the inside due to the need for insulation and water control / drainage, the support structure needs to be lowered. see the two examples above
