I think im often much more hesitant to talk about issues that are heavily polarised but where my view doesnt fall in line with my usual "side" than about ones where my position is basically anathema across the board and only taken up by weirdos. Talking out about the latter can catch you a bunch of flak but talking out about the former gets you rounded off to a banal stereotype and deemed not worth listening to, which is in many ways worse
