She’s already pulling him towards the direction of what is presumably her abode, paying no mind to the stares that they may be receiving as she hums to herself. Perceptive as she is, she can practically feel her companion’s concern radiating off of him, but it isn’t until they near a stoplight that she turns to give him more attention.

“The name’s Alin! I’m a university student! ’m totally harmless, see? My place isn’t too far from here actually! I’ve gotta rent an apartment because my roommate haaates the fact that I’ve got stuff everywhere! ‘I don’t want people thinking I’m okay with your hobbies,’ she says! Pssh! Who cares, right? She’s such a downer, I oughta move in with someone else, but there’s just too much paperwork for me to be bothered.”

Aaand here she goes again rambling on and on about her less than satisfactory roommate. She did, of course, choose to omit the fact that her merchandise absolutely had to go after an administrator made a complaint and let Alin off with a warning. Talk about embarrassing…for my roommate at least. More like talk about unapologetic anime trash.

She shrugs her shoulders and takes a closer look at her companion. Should she recognize him? Is she in the presence of a celebrity? A celebrity that doesn’t know about Gundam! I’ll have to tell Takasugi his face’ll light up like a Christmas tree!

“Mm…I don’t think I know you, good sir! You one of those singers or something? Those people that sing in their houses? With the masks? Ah…uta…utaites? Yeah! Eheheh…you seem too shy to be some sort’ve idol, they’d need to amplify your voice a looot!”

Trotting behind her, Hirashi tried to ignore the stares targeted at the pair of them- this was perfectly normal. Perfectly! There wasn’t a day in his life where he wasn’t dragged away by some girl to watch anime or something. Obviously.

Shifting himself to better see her face, he blew a light sigh. Loving the life story, he watched her talk- So she’s an otaku? Well, that explains a lot. Should I be surprised?- before realizing he should at least introduce himself, too.

“Uh, yeah, um... My name’s Hirashi Abe. Also a uni student, but also somewhat of a washed up musical prodigy. Um. My apartment actually is far from here, so, uh. Yeah. I’ve never really had a roomie, but I share the sentiment. Roomies should be like, uh, allies or some shit. Defend each other’s, uh, hobbies.”

Wow, how eloquent.

Either way, he gave a shrug, swinging his arms a little. An idol? Really? Jesus- I’m not even cute enough to be an idol, let alone not being able to sing or, y’know, hear. No biggie.

“Singing? Hah- no way. I can’t even hear, how am I supposed to sing?” It was with these words that he tapped a button on his bag strap, in fact mentioning his hearing impairment. With another sigh, he continued. 

“Nah. Like I said, sort of a washed-up prodigy. I was kind of a... C-List hit pianist when I was younger- like, I was the piano man. Billy Joel wrote a song about me. For realsies.”

“But.. I stopped doin’ concerts and now I just... Teach piano to little kids.”

well as people who were in rot with me know, hirashi is a HUGE momma’s boy... he loves his adoptive momma with all his heart and they’re super close..

he’s also a daddy’s boy but not as much? he likes his dad and takes after him a lot but generally they’re both just [quiet nodding] [soft piano]

his parents were quite old when they adopted him? most people thought they were his (young) grandparents..

that being said, papa abe died around the time hirash turned 19... hirashi was really broken up about it and to this day he’s,,, really hurting over it.,,,, he wasn’t at home at the time so he feels like he could’ve been there to hang out with papa abe Once More... :’(

his parents really don’t like him that much?? i mean. most of it is a spoiler but Whoops.

however!!! he has his lovely, angelic twin sister hyun-sik who is the only human being who will ever feel affection towards si-hoo?? hyun-sik is lovely and kind and si-hoo’s best friend Ever... she’s still in seoul though so they don’t see each other often..

ayane’s family is fine??? it was worse when she was little but now that they’re all adults things are good. her and her brothers are all pals! ayane lives at home, too..

hirashi:

probably one who drinks more often? he just. enjoys it. he’s the type to drink alone, though. he’s like a suburban wine mom. [drinks wine while watching reality tv] [cries self to sleep]

that being said he cannot handle his liquor well which is partially why he tends to drink alone? because he doesn’t like embarrassing himse lf...

he likes classy drinks like wine and stuff (that rich white people drink tbf). never touches hard liquor or cheap things tho

si-hoo:

really the only one who drinks more than hirashi tbh

he likes to go out and party/go to bars/etc and pick people up

he handles his liquor VERY WELL. tends to babysit people who don’t handle it well and he’s?? surprisingly careful with them. refuses to let people make bad decisions and tends to take people’s keys, etc. he’s very concerned.

he tends to be a lot more emotional when he’s actually drunk? when he’s buzzed or tipsy he’s fine but he doesn’t like getting really drunk because that means he has no filter

he’ll drink anything except beer tbh. his favorite is cherry-flavoured vodka/cherry drinks but hey he’ll take pretty much anything

ayane:

she doesn’t drink much, and she’s a mega lightweight... but she likes parties and stuff and she’ll drink if it’s being offered.. especially since she can’t legally 

speaking of legality she has three older brothers so she tends to just. pay them to buy her some most of the time. sometimes when they feel nice the four of them (and nekomaru, on occasion) will have little parties..

she loves!! girly drinks. and is completely unashamed. give her the sweetest martini you can, she’ll love it

she’s the type to nurse one drink all night since. lightweight.

yasushi:

he’s underage and has never... been drunk before... he’s actually scared to since he doesn’t know what he’d be like (lightweight. embarrassing.)

he’s kinda nervous to try but feels he must!! to be a MAN!!

artie doesn’t drink, and sofia is STRONGLY against it. she doesn’t enter places that serve alcohol and tuts like a mother anytime someone mentions it. when she treats patients that are intoxicated she gets.. really sad.

Aha! So he doesn’t know what I’m talking about at all! What a sad life to live not knowing the difference between an RX-78 and a Wing Gundam! Poor, poor boy! she thinks to herself, a small sense of pity rising.

Clasping the other’s hand within her own, her gaze is full of intensity as she faces her companion.

“We’re going to watch the entire Gundam franchise at my place right now!”

She sounds dead serious. Time to book it, son.

Voice once again small, he leaned back, only to jerk forward when she grabbed his hand. A tiny part of him feared for what, exactly, she wanted from him, and his face twisted with something near concern.

Look at me now, Mom. The first time a girl other than my gay best friend actually wants to hang out with me and she wants to watch.. Anime? Maybe being gay is a better plan.

“Uh... Sure, but how am I supposed to trust you when I don’t even know your name? Or where you live? You don’t even know who I am. Unless you do, in which case, uh, hi.”
