Father's Day.
For most, this holiday acknowledgement is great; and for others, this holiday is extremely painful. A father is supposed to follow in the footsteps of our Heavenly Father. Kind, gentle, provider, present, available, peacemaker, comforter, disciplinarian, warm, and so on are a few attributes that describe a father who loves his family. Every man must fight for his (fatherhood). The Devil starts attacking men when they are young with multiple forms of identity crises. From unrealistic heroism to a perceived tough facade, men are portrayed either way and nothing in between.
Suffice it to say, but society has played a large part in breaking down men and their roles as head of their families. Thank God for His eternal example of manhood and fatherhood. If you are a father or trusting God to become one, continue to pursue biblical definitions of what it means to be a tangible father. Please God with your (obedience) to His Will. Friends, choose to (forgive) your wayward father and move forward with your life. You have always had a Heavenly Father who loves and adores you—lean into Him today.
