“You got a shielding quirk too, right kid?” Tsuyoshi knows they’re the same age, technically, but living on the street makes you grow up fast, and he sees Daizo as a kid next to him.  “I could teach you a lot about your quirk,” Tsuyoshi continues, catching a bullet with his face and shouldering a punch. “Join the league of villains, you’ve got potential!”

Tsuyoshi was getting tired of people who thought they could do his job better than him. “I’m the shield, don’t you get it?” Already charged with pain, Tsuyoshi weightlessly vaulted over Wolf and placed himself in front, bearing the brunt of the oncoming attack with a grimace. He was approaching his limit, and starting to feel the ache.

Kei cares about him. That’s why he’s stepping in.

He’s snapped back into awareness quickly enough though and he drops the miniature vine. “Yeah… pretty opposite in similar ways.” He watches the small pit of blood and darkness for a moment before his skin begins kniting itself together at an astonishing rate. “I’m pretty sure my biology has it covered.”

“Whoah, that’s fucking metal. If it hurts every time, haven’t you gotten used to the pain?” He’s so genuinely interested in Tenko’s quirk that he completely misses the look on the shorter man’s face. “It must be strange to feel pain all the time. I’ve only felt it a few times in my life, and mostly in my childhood, when I was still developing my quirk.” He crouches down on wobbly knees and reaches out to pick up the vine, long sleeve brushing on the floor and loose robes bundling at the floor.
