Oh my goodness, I never wrote about my trip to the fine city Montréal, did I? I’m a bad bear blogger.
Well, here’s the highlight of my trip. We toured the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and saw the Auguste Rodin Metamorphoses special exhibition. You probably know Rodin from The Thinker, or possibly The Gates of Hell.
The best part was the “Touching Rodin” section, where guests were allowed to pet some sculptures. This was originally set up so that the visually impaired could enjoy the artwork, but now the concept is open to the general public.
What do bears think about? Honeybees and naps, maybe.

After logging thousands of steps on your FitBit, it’s not a bad idea to give your paws a rest and experience Rome from a cushioned and air conditioned seat.
Here’s me plugged in, learning all about the Eternal City.

One more picture for now. This is Venice!

I’m back in the States now! I’m severely jet-lagged. What day is it? I need to hibernate a bit before my next big trip (Montréal, Québec!) in six weeks.
Anyway, here are the rest of my pictures from Istanbul. I visited the Hagia Sophia which was originally a Christian basilica, then converted into a mosque, and now it’s a museum. It was built in 537 AD (over 1400 years ago!) and is considered “the epitome of Byzantine architecture.”
Also I think I look pretty great as Turkish nobility.

Ahhh Florence. What a beautiful city. I pigged out on gelato from Gelateria Dondoli, saw some amazing artwork, and took in the picturesque countryside.

I call it the Naked Man.

And we’re back in Rome! Here I am on the Spanish Steps (there are 135 of them!).
After a quick rest in the hotel (very tastefully decorated, is it not?), we headed to dinner. I’m not sure what that nutty mound of brown goo is, but I swear it wasn’t me.

Whew! What a whirlwind. I’m in Venice now. Time for a nap worthy of a Nap Bear and then some sightseeing.

Welcome to the Piazza del Campo in the heart of Siena, Italy. According to Google, “Piazza del Campo is the principal public space of the historic center of Siena, Tuscany, Italy and is regarded as one of Europe's greatest medieval squares. It is renowned worldwide for its beauty and architectural integrity.”
Rising above the Piazza is the Torre del Mangia (Tower of Eating). It was built to be the same height as the Siena Cathedral to show that the State and the Church had equal power.

Another quick update!
We flew from Turkey to Italy, and stayed in Rome for a few days. After a few hours on the train we ended up in Florence. Here I am in the Piazza del Duomo enjoying a parade for the Hare Krishnas.
