Yeah it’s a recent decision, for the time to fit with the story of AKotSK Daeron II or Rhaenyra II in my version is monarch making Baelor the heir still, Corlys is someone I haven’t developed a ton so for brevity I’ve decided to pass from Lucerra to Rhaenyra II

Okay so this is crazy but I am currently rewriting with the book accurate timeline and have started the tree already! This is it so far, and I have the prologue fully written now, I'm just considering how to publish it, replacing chapters, putting the edits out as new chapters or publishing a full re-write as a separate work.

Actually you're right! When Lucerra passes away, her line of succession is Coryls, Rhaenyra II, Baelor, and Valarr, with Matarys as his spare. I haven't drawn that, but that's a great idea!

I'm enjoying BG3, but I absolutely loathe that Larian made Abdel Adrian 'canon' in these games.
Because no the fuck he isn't. And Gorion's Ward was definitely not a "he" as far as I'm concerned. She would die before agreeing to become a politician.
In case you're unfamiliar with fandom's three decades of lore and memes: fans never liked Abdel Adrian. He originated as the misogynistic meathead protagonist of the laughably bad novelization, which fans collectively agreed was not canon. And most importantly: the book was never relevant to the games' timeline, as it directly contradicted key details and events. The two were completely separate.
The original BG came out decades ago and had multiple endings. "Canon" was always going to be tricky. But it was totally unnecessary to specify a named/gendered version of Gorion's Ward. No one needed or wanted that, and it's frankly disrespectful to longtime fans of this series.
I hate it so much. It's putting a bit of a damper on my first experience of this game, which until now was 10/10.

So to make you feel a little bit better about the state of Gorion’s ward in BG3 it seems they made them and Abdel separate characters!
you can talk to Minsc about the times of trouble and about the bhaalspawns that they travelled with and he refers to the player character at the time with they/them pronouns and calls them simply Gorion’s ward, Abdel I think it’s referred to by a few other characters, but never by Jaheira or Minsc and not as your MC of Bg1/2

(Honestly in general I think this shift of family dynamics would change a good chunk of LOK in terms of just. All of them knowing each other a lot better and ya know. Being family. And Korra would know all of the remaining members of the Gaang instead of only just now meeting them. )
