HAPPY EARTH DAY
Yesterday baby boy and I went down to the Midsummer Commons park to play in the flowers along the river cam. It was so nice to just lay in the grass and watch my son run free and laugh as he enjoyed mother nature. He picked a handful of dandelions for him and I to make wishes on a blow out all of their seed heads. His had a tad bit more of spit than air blow his out ( hehe ).
When it began to rain we walked back upstairs for nap time. Corban held his little flowers so tight as he shut his eyes immediately after climbing onto the sofa.
What a wonderful way to spend our EARTH DAY!
Guide to packing for a weekend in Venice: Bringing only my MK weekender and Tory Burch clutch purse was the best decision we could have made knowing we would be arriving before check in and not having to go through the crazy unnecessary bag checks and ques for only a weekend trip.
First day wear was a white on white breezy H&M sweater, ONLY white skinnies, and my favorite H&M blanket scarf that I paired with the Chinese Laundry luggage leather booties but quickly upon arriving to the island traded in for my flat fringe Dirty Laundry sandals that caught everyone’s eye.
Right before moving to England I purchased the most perfect maxi from Destin threads that I loved but didn't think I would get the wear out of it moving to England were it’s known to not have much sun and heat. Thankfully I have my biffle Allison who forced me to buy now and figure out when and where to wear it later. [thanks, love you] The dress was absolutely perfect for Italy and was a big hit for the public as I got many stares and compliments on it throughout the day.
I complimented everything with the lovely large fedora, aviators, and BCBG “Bella” leather bracelet, of course.
Unfortunately, the bikini didn't come in handy for this go around for the weather didn't get THAT warm. The red Armani skirt with striped crop top also didn't make an appearance as I didn't want to take the risk of getting asked for a ride on my Gondola.
As we are still in the long dreadful process of unpacking I came across more craft items that nudged me a bit into DIY mood! So finally after years of saying I want to cover this old cork board I got around to it and am very pleased with the outcome. Added a bit of a lace trim at the last minute for a little more of a frilly touch, which means it probably can't be downstairs. [whoopsy sorry Jack]
Sunday Fun day in VENICE was full of wine, sun, and love. Waking up in our gorgeous hotel room at the Hilton Molino Stucky was like a dream. They served a wonderful breakfast and we were able to relax a bit after before check out time. Jack's ear for Russian lead us to having the pleasure of meeting the Italian astronaut Luca Parmitano and his lovely wife Kathy while we waited for our boat taxi. We then had time to waste getting lost in Venice, having a glass or better yet a kraft of wine here and there. I must say we live a pretty happy life together.
WOW what a beautiful weekend spent in Venice, Italy with Jack! It was by far the BEST birthday present ever. It was a nice little getaway just for the two of us. Although we missed Corby dearly of course, we also had such a great time having a little bit of a break and alone time (which we don't know much about). When I first started seeing Jack and he told me he would take me out of my small town Crestview and show me the world I really didn't believe him. Man, has he really proven me wrong. Guys take notes, actions speak louder than words!
This is hilarious!😂😂😂
After a long day of shopping with my mini babe we spent the evening enjoying the sun at Jesus Green park. Meaning I had to trade the booties in for the comfy TB flats to be able to chase the run away baby.
•WIWT• a little bit of high and low pieces as usual👌 I had on an old black and white basic striped top from Zara•vintage blazer from Oxfam•F21 skinnies•gold glitter back booties by Wanted •AOTD• grey blanket scarf from H&M•vintage sunnies•MK watch•thrifted gold oversized cuff from Oxfam•H&M fox ring

Saw a guy with one on while in London this past weekend. It looked fabulous!
Good morning Wednesday! Didn't see anything about hail storms when I googled England for 3months straight before moving. It's been exactly one month since Corban and I made the big step to get on a plane and join Jack in Cambridge. I'm so very happy I was brave enough to put on my wings and get out of Crestview. Nothing makes me happier than the thought of being overseas with the love of my life. It's nothing but dreams coming true day by day. Well now that the hail has calm down and the birds are chirping outside my window again I'm going to attempt to get Corban ready and out the door for a late lunch and latté.
The cherry on the top of today was my oh so lovely package that arrived right on time according to my DPD tracking updates. My parents are so good to me still hundreds of thousands of miles away. I have been eyeing Hunter boots for the longest but haven't had the courage to cave in and just make the purchase sooooooo drum roll please...my parents did for my birthday present! THANKS rents, y'all are the best! The moss green looks even better in person than it did online! I'm very pleased with them so far! Ready, set, go blend in with the Brits!
