so while waiting for the new game i got inspired to pick up my old save of fantasy life and power level my way through all the remaining Lives and while working my way through Alchemist i thought it would be cool to have an in-universe handbook describing all the plants and ingredients and stuff (because i kept forgetting how to obtain a bunch of them and had to use the wiki)

so here's the first page from The Alchemist's Almanac

i might make it a full in-universe guide on the Alchemist life if i ever find the motivation, and if that goes well then maybe i'll make one for all the other Lives too

It's actually funny how humans decided "fuck living in caves with all these creepy crawlies", got out of caves, built houses that have all the nice parts of a cave without any of the yucky parts, and then all the little bugs and spiders and other creepy crawly creatures that used to also live in caves thought "sweet, new and improved caves" and moved right back in with us.
