Ninjago Dragons Rising writers after writing Cole out of the main six yet again:

He got like 7 minutes total screen time in season 3 that had 20 episodes and was straight up incapacitated for the final battle. And I don’t care if Dragons Rising is more about the newer generation of ninja, Lloyd still got plenty of character focus, Nya and Jay had an entire story arc through the series, Kai didn’t really do much but him and Wyldefyre had their moments, Zane had his own motivation to find PIXAL which lead him on his own journey but the story cut back to him quite often. And Cole? Zero development, zero motivations. Oh but he’s in the Land of Forgotten Things protecting the Finders- THEY WENT TO THE MONASTERY THEY COULD HAVE BEEN THERE THE WHOLE TIME WHERE HE DIDNT HAVE TO WORRY!

Besides, Bonzal was a big character for some reason in season 1 or 2? Why wasn’t Cole more prominent even then?

And season 4 he got to fight Beatrix 1v1 and that was great, that was the best episode of the whole series but it wasn’t even the focus of the episode! Those were his best moments, I love sassy Cole, he was just having fun causing problems.

And him and Geo I actually really like, though I need the show to just state it already. Are they dating? The people need to know!

Anyway. Despite all its flaws, I must say that Dragons Rising is actually pretty good, I really enjoyed it. Cole needs more screen time, and a lot of it contradicts pre-established lore of the world, but it’s still a fun show and I actually really like the new ninja. Frak is my favourite, which isn’t surprising. I think I just like the earthy bois. (Also his name reminds me of Battlestar Galactica-)
