this might be hard to understand but

i feel like when i used to actually buy things, i would sometimes splurge on expensive items that were SHIT but i forced n convinced myself to believe they weren’t bc, like, how could it be shit when it’s so expensive? and now that i lift stuff i see things more clearly for how they really are. like i feel like ONLY lifters understand how that Gorgeous moisturizer from Lush is actually pretty terrible, but every other person hypes it up bc they’re under this impression that it MUST be lovely bc it’s $80, but when you get it for free and didn’t lose anything for it, it’s easy to see just how scammed people who pay for things really are. most “really good” products out there aren’t actually really good, they’re just expensive and have a good word-of-mouth about them. does that make sense? lifting in this way has really made me come to my senses about what i should ACTUALLY pay for.

Any tips for new lifters who only shop with their parents?

these might be kinda obvi, but first off, gain their trust. way less likely for them to be sus of you. don’t forget, your parents are essentially lp or sa. by gaining their trust, you’re making them less likely to be suspicious.

once at a store, separate from them, but always know where they are. they can. NOT. catch you by surprise, see you conceal, or see concealed stuff. this happened to me. she saw my concealment. 

anyway, good luck, my dude. no more advice i can give. remember, don’t get greedy, and always unpackage in the bathroom!

IF YOU CONCEAL ITEMS IN YOUR BRA, SWEATSHIRT POCKET OR PANTS BE HELLA CAREFUL.

i was walking out of an ulta with my mom today (she doesn’t know i lift but i think she’s suspicious) AND A COLORPOP EYESHADOW SLIPPED OUTTA MY BRA AND HIT THE CEMENT IN THE PARKING LOT.

(she asked if i stole it but me being a great liar convinced her that i didn’t. thank god)

I’ve also had things fall out of my front hoodie pocket or slide out of my pants but luckily this happened when i was alone / at home.

if you’re concealing in your pants make sure to wear boots so if the product moves / shifts it doesn’t fall out and hit the floor.

Hella good thing to remember if your concealing anything in your pants to wear boots! UGH I LOVE KNEE HIGH BOOTS HEHE but I only wear leggings and tights although you can canceal things in them if the items slipped down it would be srsly obvious unlike jeans.

I've seen some people say that some stores can't prosecute so they just "customer service" the heck out of you, what does that mean?

they can’t ask to check your bags / make it obvious they know you’re stealing. so instead they’ll be very attentive and ask a ton of questions. sometimes they’ll say things like “would you like a bag for you items?” or “would you like me to start a dressing room for you?”

hello!!! what the heck is boost? I've seen the term thrown around but I''m new and have absolutely no idea what it means. I've also seen it used in a few different contexts (like; I just boosted this and got $16 or I'm boosting and spent $30 etc.)?? pls help

its selling items you've lifted. 

normally you sell them for a price discounted by about 20-30% on certain apps.
