"Why would Bella Swan--?"
Because she loves Edward Cullen. Because she is unbearably obsessed with him. Because she is recklessly devoted to him. Because she is hopelessly haunted by him. Because she is embarrassingly fixated on him. Because she is tenderly besotted to him.
Any other questions?
one might even say she’s…….. unconditionally and irrevocably in love…………
BRIDGERTON - Season 4 . Episode 3
Season four of Bridgerton was the most balanced season yet; the main couple to side plot screen time ratio was great. I really hope they continue in the same manner!
The side plots also had relevance to the main couple. The advice to Gregory applying to Ben, the Mondrichs and Dunbary helping with the rank differences, Violets hypocrisy towards Benedict, Baby Edmund reminding Ben of his sense of worthlessness, the servants giving us a glimpses of Sophie’s reality, the value in family when facing death, etc.
The side plots aided the main couple without taking away!!!
fran having to deal with figuring out her sexuality, questioning herself as a woman bc of her infertility issues, suddenly losing her husband, finally falling pregnant just to lose her child too, being stripped of her titles, and watching the only person that understands her grief run away from her.. im
Here for it. Bugs and feet hands.

BRIDGERTON SEASON 4 (2026)
Twilight studies
i NEED people to realise foreshadowing is. in fact. a literary device. and not a Bad Thing. the audience picking up on your hints is a Good Thing. because. it makes the story and it’s conclusion make sense. and some people will not see those but enjoy seeing them on a second read through. red herrings are one thing but if your novel consists of nothing but red herrings it’s not a coherent story it’s just a collection of paragraphs that don’t actually plausibly link to one another. you're not fighting with the audience you don’t look clever you look like you don’t know how basic fiction works. be vulnerable for once in your goddamn life and don't treat writing like a game to be won where the audience losing is a good thing.
“you need a jacket or somethin’, baby? you’re ice cold.” - credit to @the-most-pathetic-edge-marquis for the idea 🤎
Do you ship them?
yes
no
Emmett whispering in Bella’s ear while she’s writhing in agony as she becomes a vampire: I’ll give you $50 if you pretend you don’t remember Edward when you wake up
Why do I kind of want them to. They have the opportunity to do the funniest thing.
it would've been so easy to give Bella and Alice something in common: sewing.
if Bella is growing up balancing budgets, she & Renee are obviously tight on money. darling socks, mending holes, embroidering over stains, & basic tailoring are all simple household chores that save money & position Bella as a "responsible old soul."
Bella sews out of necessity but never has the money to work with quality fabrics or make her own clothes. she can be interested in how articles are assembled & still hate shopping & trying stuff on. but Alice can teach her new techniques & broaden Bella's horizons, turning what was once a household chore into a hobby they both share
this would have been so wholesome but unfortunately SM took “loves fashion” to mean “thoughtless and superficial slave to microtrends as a form of societal pressure to conform” as opposed to “love for and appreciation of textiles and fashion as a form of art and expression”
100%. fashion feels like more like a tool to indicate status & wealth than it does an actual hobby. Alice shops, dresses her family, commissions a designer for a wedding dress, but she never seems interested in the nitty gritty of textiles, fabric arts, etc. it makes it hard not to interpret it as a symptom of the mindless consumerist culture glorified in early 21st-century America. but i suppose if you're positioning the Cullens as the pinnacle of the early 21st-century white American dream, unfettered consumerism is a feature, not a bug
Renee canonically makes Bella a quilt. SHE sews. Bella absolutely should!!!
even more insane when you think about all the tangential skills Renee had to learn in order to make the t-shirt quilt she gifts Bella in Eclipse. she picks up a hobby every other week but manages to keep her focus long enough to sink in hours and hours of work? either she's a quilting prodigy or that's been a lifelong skill for her. which, if that's the case, makes Bella's lack of sewing skills even weirder
i'm really out here saying i could fix the twilight saga like it's an emotionally unavailable boyfriend
