remember that time when the entirety of shinee very blatantly said without saying on radio that jonghyun’s not straight? I could give you a whole run down on how the industry….like how looooots of ppl who work in the industry have made various comments about how jonghyun is very brave for constantly straddling this ~line~ of sexuality a line that people like heechul and jo kwon also are known to sort of mess with and dance around as well of taking things beyond fanservice and very potentially being ~not straight~. because there has not been a single artist who has been able to come out as gay and then been able to continue to work in the industry. even harisu the first transgender entertainer in korea and i think only the second s. korean person able to legally change their gender wasn’t really able to keep going in the industry (though she had a pretty lengthy career considering) OK my tags are getting out of control because I have been hanging out in kpop for almost 10 years BUT my point is that jonghyun being ~not straight~ is sort of like this open secret/joke in the industry joke in the sense that you can laugh it off at the end and pretend to go back to believing that jjong is straightam
