babies, adorable babies I love them. Dream being an imaginary friend is not what I was expecting but seems so obvious in hindsight. kinda adds to the whole childish nature of Patient- HE BABY! I'm glad we get a cute happy end for them but it did seem kinda abrupt- curse you 3 chapter rule ww

Akai and Albino-chan are usually seen as Dreams and Nightmares so I'm curious whats happening here...
Is Dream Patient actually a part of Patient, if so that might be why their "worlds" are connected
If not is Dream Patient a real Reiya? Patient is suprised by a Parallel Layer being real when he meets Ori but also says that DP isnt him- so he is aware of DP but doesn't think he is a Parallel Layer?? hmm
I originally thought maybe their worlds had merged somehow causing corruption, now seeing them in the manga I'm leaning towards them being the same Reiya but split somehow??
Maybe this is also the case for Akai and Albino (they do have half of Ori's ᛖ symbol each so...?)
Current theory, theyre the same person kinda? as for what's going on here...??? I need more context!!
The Diary is probably Patients. He seems to wright things he wants to do? Baseball, Tennis & Football; all sports- given he is in a hospital I guess these are all dreams he can't achive because he is too sick to do these things? sobbing never opening heart sobbing again
somehow Dream Patient has a version of the Diary in the "Dream world" and the version in reality is... blank??? so somehow he is causing that by recreating the dreams...? but Patient said he had a nightmare so- I really dunno without more context lol
Last thought about Akai & Albino-chan for now;
I mentioned before that maybe the ability Patient gives Reiya is Secret Order because of the multiple Reiya HOWEVER-!
I now wonder if the ability will be something related to the "Dream" stuff, and using that ability will lead Ori to meet Akai and Albino-Chan??

small thought to throw out after skimming the chapter again, Dream Patient is shown outside in a very corrupt world but Patient is inside and the world looks normal. Given Patient waking up I assumed it was a dream world but it could be that the world is broken and the hospital is a sort of last bastion that hasn't been corrupted yet- MMM using it as a place to try and fix Patient to fix the world??
maybe thats why Patient is seen WITH DP in the MV. they're in what looks like a parking area that might lead to the outside. So if Patient and Ori go there, maybe DP will find a way in and they will meet there??

when I get better at drawing King I will probably swap out the Neko Atsume cat edits for art of King like I originally planned, but it might take a while.

...ah yeah so Chasers arc is over! It lasted 3 chapters. If we get a physical release of the manga I wonder if it will be Ch1-9 as the first Vol or wait for Patient to have his arc (assuming 3 ch like Chaser) and have it be 12 chapters and cover the main Trio in one book??
If the manga keeps going it might be Vol 2 with Patient and Akai&Albino-chan, who im assuming will get an arc together since theyre always shown together in some way? and then some MMM/Public Security stuff before going on before setting up for Star Conductor, Raijin and finally Invader...

If the cat IS King (Shuuya's cat) I wonder if there's a King in every Worldline or if it's one Cat-Reiya thats hopping between worldlines... we have seen other versions of King tho so maybe not... but some Reiya also look similar (like Chaser and Pato) soooo?? but if there really is a cat worldline then it explains why there's a cat that looks like Mebi too huh...?? show me fluffy shuuya cat!

I'm so happy to see a small tussle between Ori and Chaser (a long running joke finally came true, the criminal has been apprehended! ww) but I'm also glad Eihwaz could prove who Ori was so they'd not drag out the fighting. I'm curious to see if their personalities clash as much as fans have long expect them too, Chaser seems much more mature than Ori after all~ fight fight fight-

I keep calling Klein "Mebi's twin brother" but what if Klein is a parallel worlds version of Mebi?? maybe thats why they were researching parallel worlds and a part of why Klein is so fixated on Reiya- he can cross worldlines after all ?? maybe Klein somehow wound up in the wrong worldline and is stuck there ???
I should draw Chaser to celebrate his manga debut but I have like 5 unfinished drawing, stuff to do irl and I'm too distracted by a certain cozy game rn... aah
Finally got my dads old display cabinet cleaned and set up so I started filling it, starting with my Reiya stuff~💚
Please ignore the missing/incorrect parts, a couple stands had missing bases when I bought them but finding Live Arena Reiya merch can be hard so I didn't mind too much. Had a duplicate of another stand so gave him the duplicates base instead- I'm just happy I even found the standard one at all, it took awhile to find it ;w;

I ACTUALLY GASPED AT KLEINS "DESK"-
Klein's desk is made of 3 Menger Cubes! the Cube is associated with Innocent Infinity as he first appears inside one in the MV and the Menger Cube is a shape with theoretically infinate sides- as the pattern repeats the surface grows towards infinity making it a perfect representation of Reiya.
Its worth mentioning! Mebi tells reiya to head to "Layer 0". a Menger Cube is a pattern where every time it repeats its often refered to as a "Level" with "Level 0" being the original cube before the pattern is started soooo~ Im still conflicted if Inno or TWW is 'Layer 0' though- it seems like its gonna be Inno but then where does TWW fit into this???????? unless Inno is just chilling with TWW at 'Layer 0'?
that or Inno is Layer 1 and Layer 0 is TWW??

[Rambling about the absolute chaos that is me getting into Compass below... lowkey kinda venting?]
16th of September 2022 YouTubes recommended page would show me a music video with a striking thumbnail of a boy in black and green. I would spend the next week spamming this song as I confusedly stumbled across Compass and tried to find out more.
on the 20th- a bit past midnight, only a few days after finding the MV I had drawn Reiya for the first time and posted him to twitter- I usually only draw characters I really like (hyperfixations) and given the text on the post- It's safe to say I was very much enamoured lol
during those few days I had been searching Parallel Layer, NND Compass and Reiya's name in japanese desperatly looking for info... and mostly failing www I found the wiki and that was about all I really had to go off~
later that day... I found Live Arena?? and realising that now- HURTS! I DIDN'T REMEMBER THIS AT ALL! (I'll talk about that in a bit tho)
after this point I kept searching stuff for a few days before giving up and only listening to the music from then on...
...Until around Feb 15th 2025 when I first heard about the anime releasing, saw Reiya on the poster for the anime and lost my mind! I'd missed the animes announcement by only a FEW MONTHS and had no idea it was coming! over the years I'd been listening to his theme, I'd never bothered to look back into Compass despite really liking Reiya and had just given up on knowing more about him assuming i'd find nothing new... [youtube had never recommended anything else from Compass either]
THE ANIME MADE THAT PRESSURE COOKER EXPLODE
In those ~2.5 years I'd started to learn a bit of japanese and could at least read kana, I found more info than I had previously and most importantly the anime was getting an English sub! I final had a way to get into Compass and those years of Reiya being in the back of my mind came crashing forward lmao (I also started to learn more about the other characters and ended up really liking Collapse, although he wasn't in the anime and ironically had EVEN LESS lore than Reiya had www)
Going back to my prior mention of Live Arena, I didn't remember it AT ALL! I assumed I'd never seen it and had missed it during my old searching but my youtube history shows I had at least seen 1 review of the game which ironically also showed off Reiyas theme... back then I probably would have struggled to download the game, let alone play it without a guide- which is super unfortunate because I LOVE rythme games. I do have Live Arena on my phone now but sadly never got to play it when it was still live... I think I would have really liked it if I could have understood it but that wasn't really feasible at the time anyway ;w;
I have a weird sense of guilt that of all the Reiyas I'd seen, I had only forgotten Live Arena's Reiya. He is actually my favourite now and I even own his choker! I seriously adore him!! When I got back into looking for info in 2025 I thought I had never seen him before so seeing that, even if only briefly in one short video, I HAD seen him before... feels like a gut punch?? the guilt is strong- i'm sorry for not remembering ;0;
my brain had been running on many "what if" scenarios since. If only I'd started to learn japanese sooner, if only Id kept searching, if only I looked into Live Arena more, ect. maybe I could have gotten into Compass sooner, maybe I wouldnt have forgotten Liari? can't do anything to change that though, it is what it is~ look forward not back!
I'm so happy I found the anime on mal when I did, I'm so happy youtube recommended me that MV back then. Im glad I can finally enjoy and learn more about this lil goober I've been curious about for years now and I look forward to reading all of the Manga he is now in (physical release i beg)~ I really hope that Compass releases more outside of japan one day so more people could enjoy it, although I know that is extremely unlikely to ever happen... so here comes theory territory that will frame the rest of the analysis; "It" is refering to our Reiya, the Reiya speaking is not our worldlines Reiya but rather a different Reiya speaking through our Reiya (may also be relevent why Reiya got confused about worldlines earlier?)
the "3 truths" made me think of the 3 Universal Truths (aka 3 marks of existance) from buddism;

the adjacent sea of clouds is possibly a boundary between worlds, the edge of the box also invokes a boundary- though more literally the box could be a phone. minature/boxed gardens are small landscaped gardens created inside a container like a box or plant pot, so a minature cultivated world... #Compass. the King would likely then be the Player, given Reiya says we have been waiting for our "guest" there (again probably our Reiya)
again assuming the Reiya talking isn't our Reiya, he's basically saying he will comeback to this worldline to visit again in the future

In the Parallel Layer MV we see Ori observe Innocent Infinity and seemingly grant him power so perhaps this other Reiya is going between worldlines giving strength to different Reiya? I guess he needed to connect with us to observe our Reiya... do mirrors not work- wouldn't that be easier www

this was the first cipher I noticed and lead to me looking at every episode to find any other ciphers. I find ciphers fun, so when I saw correct punctuation used and the number 13 I absolutely KNEW it was a cipher >:]
The BIG Cipher (also ep 7, from the same data)
I never completed this one, might go back to it eventually. due to how blurry it was and the type of cipher used it was the hardest to figure out. most ciphers use a caesar cipher with a shift of 13 (very funny) but this one used a Beaufort cipher which needed a key word to crack it.
I tried everything for the key word; compass, character names, weapons, ect ... eventually after A LOT of trying I found the key was MMM! I could have screamed, absolute Reiya fan moment wwww
I think thats all the ciphers I did? there's other possible ciphers in the show that are just too hard to see to be able to have a go at deciphering them... maybe I will have another look into it at some point tho 'v'
I wanted to go over the text for Reiya's recent balance patch because I find his way of speaking really interesting and wanted to share my interpretation of what I think I can understand of it
using the wiki translation as a base because my japanese is at the level of a toddler- www

By observing “it” through “you,” three specific truths shall be guaranteed.
ok first bit of actual "Reiya speak" !
the first part still has me a bit lost. Waves could be seen a flow of power or perhaps as a temporary existance, rising and falling over and over. combined with a cradle endlessly singing gives me vibes of nurturing an existance??
so here comes theory territory that will frame the rest of the analysis; "It" is refering to our Reiya, the Reiya speaking is not our worldlines Reiya but rather a different Reiya speaking through our Reiya (may also be relevent why Reiya got confused about worldlines earlier?)
the "3 truths" made me think of the 3 Universal Truths (aka 3 marks of existance) from buddism;
Impermanence [things will change]
Dissatisfaction [things that lead to suffering; pain, boredom, ect]
No Soul [the idea people will change and are not in a fixed state]
all 3 of these "truths" could relate back to Reiya changing in the patch Things will change > Reiya isn't in a satisfactory state > Reiya can and will change.

not much to say on this bit itself. the use of 対話 (dialogue/conversation) stuck out to me but I dont know enough japanese to understand if theres anything to it tho ww After this is when the patch notes are written, breaking up the full body of text.

実像(true/real image) could maybe mean to see the reality of something or to see a 'real-life image'. idk if its a metaphor or not but given he asked "look into my eyes" before this I'm inclined to say he is trying to observe something from our reality using our eyes?? invert maybe then means to invert the "image" from us to himself? dunno

the adjacent sea of clouds is possibly a boundary between worlds, the edge of the box also invokes a boundary- though more literally the box could be a phone. minature/boxed gardens are small landscaped gardens created inside a container like a box or plant pot, so a minature cultivated world... #Compass. the King would likely then be the Player, given Reiya says we have been waiting for our "guest" there (again probably our Reiya)
again assuming the Reiya talking isn't our Reiya, he's basically saying he will comeback to this worldline to visit again in the future
so what was this other Reiya doing here anyway?

Not what I usually post here but I wanted to share! I had this idea the moment I saw Eihwaz Pupils change size in the manga and figured it'd make a cool widget for my already heavily Reiya themed phone 💚✨

I just wanted to rant about all my random thoughts on the Manga/Lore and get them written down and out of my chaotic head-
So I think it's pretty safe to say that the events of the manga seem to be the same thing that was shown to us in the music video for Parallel Layer- the "Shibuya Incident".
⧋ Worldlines ?
Something I'm still not 100% sure of is if the "incident" caused Ori, Chaser & Patients realities to physically overlap or not?
At the start of the MV we see both Ori and Chaser with the same wanted poster of Ori, at the end Chaser instead sees his own wanted poster. A lot of stuff is shown in 3s to represent the trio and one of those also shows Ori on a display despite being on the 3rd of 3 images which would usually be Patients image.
there's no direct contact between the 8 Reiya but several times they're shown to be looking at each other; Ori & Chaser looking at each other before Chasers intro, the main trio seeing each other 'falling', Akai & Albino look at each other a lot too.
Maybe only the main trio (and dream duo separately) cross over worldlines or maybe they can see each other but are not in the same worldline? I dunno but I think it makes sense they will 'meet' somehow so even if not physically crossing the worldlines- maybe the worlds overlap somehow making them visible to each other??
⧋ Chaser
Chaser is the first Parallel to show up in the mv so I think it's likely he will show first in the manga too (chapter 4 maybe~? I hope). I wonder if Public Security would recognize him as Reiya or not tho, could he blend in as a cop in Ori's Worldline? It'd be funny to see Chaser go after Ori for impersonating him too, I can't imagine they will get along right away when neither understand they're the same guy... fight fight fight~! www
at the end of the MV Chaser sees a wanted poster of himself... the wanted posters are probably made after the 'Birthday Stream' revealed Ori's face so I wonder what happened on Chaser/Patients end? hopefully we get to see what led up to the incident on their sides too
⧋ Patient... what does 'Loop' mean?
seriously what does loop mean here? my best guess is "endless" as in he is "never cured" which makes sense since he is living at a hospital, maybe the injuries are all faked to keep him hidden in a hospital that MMM has control over ??
I've seen some other Reiya fans theorize that Patient is stuck in a time loop, which is kinda interesting. If he is, I wonder if the second ghostly Patient could be the cause? If a Worldline will vanish if Reiya dies, then Patient being in hospital means he could be the closest to death- but his worldline has 2 Reiya, so what happens if a worldline has 2 Reiya and only 1 dies? maybe it caused the world to keep resetting instead of ending since Reiya is technically both alive and dead... ?
⧋ How the Manga might end
we dont know how long the manga will run for but I have a thought about a possible ending;
The Manga is set Oct 28th 2019, the same day Reiya was added to #Compass
Reiya is known and pursued by Public Security due to the events of the manga
Mebi mentions it's "his fault" Reiya has to live in hiding and seems to feel regret about Reiya's situation; not being able to be seen by others despite needing to be seen to obtain Energy
No one in #Compass would know who Reiya is and Public Security can't reach Reiya if he is there
In the Anime 2.0 Reiya talks to someone(Mebi?) about how MMM is doing/Public Security and specifically asks about Shuuya...... hm
the events of the manga may happen over only one day and end with Voidoll bring Reiya to #Compass where he will be safe but have to leave the other MMM members behind to continue running from Public Security on their own... I'd imagine that'd be a bittersweet deal ;w;
as for Shuuya... maybe it's just because I like him too much but given he was said by name in 2.0 and has had the most lore involving his one-sided rivalry with Reiya and stuff- I feel like somethings gonna happen with him during this Manga but im not really sure what. . . please don't do anything dumb Shuu! please
⧋ Invader & AR event... canon or no?
[I've never seen the events story so I only know the overview of it]
During AR, Invader attacks Ori's(?) Shibuya and neither seem to know each other despite both being shown in Parallel Layer. I dunno if AR is canon but if it is then the presence of other #Compass Heros means that Invader (probably Raijin & Star Conductor too) appears after Ori joins #Compass, so the manga will likely only show Ori, Chaser and Patient (Akai and Albino still possible too I guess) and end far before Innocent Infinity is saved???
kinda odd for it to end before Inno but I guess if the manga gets a part 2 it could time skip to Ori already being in #Compass for a year and continue with retelling the AR events story?
Either way I think the plot would be too long bringing in all 8 Reiya from the MV so I think it's a safe bet we wont see Inno saved- if we see him at all. a bit sad but I'm hoping we get a bit of lore at least with Mebi saying he would tell Ori about his past an all ;w;
I'm greatful for all this Reiya content suddenly happening because I've been hopeful for more Reiya lore for years but I hope Chamooi is looking after themself, they're working so hard!
