Hi Twin, your mods are incredible and I'm really grateful for all the work you've done to make The Sims 3 even more fun! Just a thought, I was wondering if it was even technically possible to create a nail salon mod? Obviously we have the rabbithole spas but I was thinking of a TS4 style thing where you can actually go inside the building, choose what nails you want and watch your sim sitting in a chair and getting their nails done

It’s definitely possible to create a nail salon mod. I could see it working similarly to the Hairdresser Mod by @phoebejaysims.

Sims would sit in a chair and the game would take you into CAS where you can edit their nails as you wish.

Of course, you’d need some animations for a sim doing another’s nails, but at least from a coding perspective, it’s doable.

Hey Twinsimming! Thank you for your wonderful mods! I absolutely love them! You know, I wish The Sims 3 had personal journals and notebooks (a notebook with a goal to achieve in one life, like in the death-themed expansion pack), like in The Sims 4! It would also be great if school parents could pack lunches for school, there would be a parenting system (advice cards and school moments), and school projects…

I don’t know of any mods similar to the soul’s journey from Life and Death, but you might like The Journal Mod by @greenplumbboblover.

Another anon suggested a sack lunch mod idea a while back, and it’s on my list of future mods to attempt. Same with school projects!

Still not sure about a character values/parenting system mod, though.

The reward traits would just be normal traits that replace an existing trait a child or teen already has (similar to the Growing Pains mod except it’s permanent), but is that enough? I’m always open to you guys’ opinions.

Hi TwinSimming! I love all your mods! I recently started playing The Sims 3 and I'm loving the experience. Your mods are definitely essential for the game, as many of them make perfect sense and fit perfectly! However, I noticed a specific problem in my game with the Acne & Skincare mod. I decided to check if anyone else was experiencing the same issue and found a recent post about it on Reddit, I can't send links here, but for some reason only the "Wash Face" option is available on the sinks.

Hi Kiwiana!

Are all of the objects missing from Buy Mode, or only some of them?

If they’re all missing, try moving the package files to your Overrides folder and see if that helps.

hi! i downloaded your prom night set but for some reason it makes my game unable to launch. the recent patch messed up a ton of mods so maybe it has to do with that but i'm curious if i might just be missing something? i only have the base game, no dlc. thanks! :)

Hello! I assume since you mentioned the latest patch that you’re playing The Sims 4?

I only create content for The Sims 3, so adding my cc to your TS4 game will prevent it from launching.

I really like your mods, particularly the ones that bring awesome features from ts4 to ts3. Would you think about creating a mod that allows sims to switch into bath towels after they take a shower or a bath? I love the added realism it brings, and it would be a great addition to ts3.

Hello! I hope you're having a good day and staying well! I was wondering, do you have any tutorials you recommend for converting s4 items to s3? As much as I'd love to suggest an item to be converted, I feel so anxious at the thought of putting something else on someone's wip list but I'd love to try my hand at it! If it helps - it's a lighting object, so not sure if there are any tips you have for those :)

Hey! Hope you’re doing well 💛 I was replaying with your Bake mod recently and it hit me how good the gameplay flow feels, it’s one of those mods that just blends into daily sim life so naturally.

It randomly made me think how fun that same system would be with something like sushi instead of baking 👀 prepping ingredients, learning recipes over time, quality tiers, maybe even lot-based interactions, all built on that same grounded framework you already nailed.

Not a request at all! Just one of those “oh wait… this may be a thing” thoughts that wouldn’t leave my brain 😅 ts3 really lacked food gameplay that feels this integrated.

Anyway, just wanted to share the idea, I always love how you approach gameplay mods 🫶

Hello and thank you for your wonderful mods! Since the introduction of MonoPatcher, I've been wondering: is it possible to create a mod for hair growth? I sometimes play Skyrim, and there's a mod that lets you get piercings/hairstyles/perms/coloring/manicures/ear piercings at the salon. Also, over time, the hair grows and the coloring fades. It would be interesting to have something similar in Sims 3. Thanks in advance for your reply.

I think a hair growth mod could be possible for TS3.

I know the Hairdresser Mod by @phoebejaysims includes changing hairstyles and temporary hair dying, so we’re halfway there for what you’re looking for!

Though I’ll be the first to say that I’m not the best modder for the job 😅

Do you by any chance know how to get menaceman44's functional water coolers work for ts4 on mts? Does it require a specific ep or sp to get it and convert it to ts3?

Hey love your mods just wondering if this is an indented feature for the School Delinquency mod. I have both vile ventures and the menstrual cycle mod by MonocoDoll installed and the period products in particularly the pads are being treated as drug paraphernalia and my teen just got expelled for it like they have if they'd had the drugs in their inventory. Did cause me to laugh when it happened removed the pads and she was fine when going back just being nosey. Have a great day.

Whoops! Sorry about that. It’s not intended behavior 😅

I think @monocodoll might’ve used the same base object for the drug props and the period props, and since I targeted the base object in my script, it picks up in both cases.

Hopefully I can find a way around that at some point, but I’m juggling quite a few projects right now, so I don’t know when I’ll get back to the mod.

Hi Twin!

I want to report a bug I found in your Utilities Mod. For some reason, my child and teen Sims can't do their homework when the temperature drops below 0°C. The "Do Homework" and other related interactions are greyed out, and when I hover over them, it says it's too cold to do so.

I’m currently working on a fix for this issue and have uploaded a new testing version of the mod in the comment section here.

I tried installing the most recent version of the more romance interactions but my game won't start. So I put the old one back, but with that one installed people will get the "witnessed betrayal" moodlet and decrease friendship with my sims for taking care of their babies/toddlers :( any tips? Thank you!!
