          Well. Tails was acting a little strange, wasn’t he? Almost nervous, which was an odd reaction to receive. “I’m okay. Are you though, bud? Y’ seem a little jittery.”

Tails wasn't having the best day, but... He didn't exactly feel like talking about it. "Oh, I'm-- I'm always like this," he murmured, offering Sonic a nervous smile. "I'm all right. Just-- thinking of what project I'm gonna work on next." And how I'm going to do it when scissors scare the heck out of me.

Once in awhile i’ll post sketches on my twitter and forget about them. I remembered how much I loved this particular sheet of doodles so I threw some quick colors down the other day and then forgot again to post it. Tails to this day is my absolute favorite sonic character, he’s just the most adorable little thing and the best game sidekick/partner ever. I really do love his design, so much fun to play with. One day if I ever have time away from commissions i’d love to turn that super tails doodle into a full image since I like it a lot.

Its head tilted a bit as it just stared and babbled somewhat.  Seems it didn’t realise that it scared him, but it didn’t mean to at the same time.

The two tailed fox blinked up at the Chao, a small, nervous giggle rising from his lips. He probably made himself look like a fool in front of it... Not that it probably realized what he'd felt.

"You're--" Harmless. A Chao wouldn't have any intention to injure him. He needn't be afraid. Tails's shoulders relaxed as the realization hit him like a sledgehammer. "You're kinda cute..." He reached for the Chao, attempting to pick it up. "What's your name? ... Where do you belong?"

"Tails?!"

Sonic pushed himself too his feet seeing the shivering fox get closer. He didn’t hesitate to run out and grab Tails, even if it was wet on the ground, Sonic was used to it by now and was better at running on wet surfaces. He ran back and got Tails undercover of the tree. “Hey, Why the heck are you out in the cold buddy?” He knelt down and kept his hands on Tails shoulders. “We need to get ya warmed up..”

Tails didn't expect Sonic to rush up to him, but boy, the fox felt comforted by it. When the blue hedgehog brought him into the shelter of the tree and then placed his hands on his shoulders, his tails uncurled slightly so as to allow Sonic to come closer to him, giving his 'brother' a shy smile. "I was looking for something..." he trailed off, nudging into the body warmth that Sonic gave off. He was probably getting Sonic sopping wet, but hopefully he wouldn't mind it that much. "H-how about you? Why are you? I thought you didn't like rain..."

A Chao suddenly lands on the fox's head. It looks similar to him.

Said Chao spooked the poor two-tailed fox, making him jump back and stare at it with wide eyes.

"Wh-what was—!?" Then he managed to lay his eyes on the little Chao, opening and closing his mouth in his surprise.

Sonic was peacefully asleep leaning back on a tree. He slowly began to wake up to the dripping of rain falling through the tree leaves and landing on his head. He opened one eye and scrunched up his nose in annoyance. He gave a big yawn and glanced up at the moon, but when he looked back forwards he noticed a shadow approaching. “Hey, if you want to get out of the rain, this tree’s big enough for two!” He called out.

Knowing his luck, Tails would drown from the rain. The poor fox curled his tails around himself miserably, shaking as the water soaked in through his fur. It was really cold out; the howling wind didn't help with that. Why he bothered to go out here in the first place, he didn't have any idea. Surely it would be safer in his workshop...

The little fox spotted the tree and Sonic sitting in it, but he didn't dare pick up his pace lest he fall flat on his face. Instead, he geared his legs toward dragging him over to the shelter of the tree. He tried to speak back, "Sonic? Is that really you?" Why was Sonic out in the rain? Not that the blue hedgehog had to ask him twice to come over and join him, but seriously, why was he here?

It most certainly did but, after one very puzzled look to the fox, the hedgehog just shrugged. “Well, first thing’s first. Let’s find you what ya need and go from there.” An easy task really, there were shops just about everywhere.

Tails could pick up on the confusion, and he tried his best to not mind it. "Yeah. I could use a pen...or a pencil. I need something to make blueprints with..." His own house had become hazardous, what with everything so messily laid out. He could so easily trip...
