Hua Cheng shooting himself in the foot in volume 4 with the "I have a beloved" thing will always be funny to me. Like, I get why he does it. He's gotta be stood there like, "Well fuck, I can't let anyone think I'm still on the market, but I can't just confess my feelings to His Highness. What if he rejects me? What if he feels guilty that he's the reason I can't rest in peace? What if-"

And then you have Xie Lian in the background, valiantly trying to ignore that he is currently having what I like to call a Mr. Brightside moment.
