Dark matter in all the blinding light, glaring illumination flashes of darkness swirl speckled rainbows dot the universe making it difficult for ones eyes to see the darkest dark the blackest of black the vessel forged of dark matter vast, empty, void containing all an alchemical vapor of cosmic light and darkness One does not exist as light or darkness simply essence in the void 23 January 2013 Paul Skibinski
This is the realm of the passing away. All that exists does not for long. Whatever comes into this world never stops sliding toward the edge of eternity. Form arises from formlessness and passes back, arising and dissolving in a few dance steps between creation and destruction. We are born passing away. Seedlings and deadfall all face forward. Earthworms eat what remains. We sing not for that which dies but for that which never does. ~ Stephen Livine from Breaking the Drought: Visions of Grace

The Brain tumors are progressing and I am struggling with drawing and reading. As well as mobility, weakness and numbness in my legs and right arm . The visual flashes that cross my right eye like multi-colored planes in the night sky. Words lose meaning… fingers lose feeling . Everything is a struggle, life is worth it all

Rather than living a life of resistance and trying to disprove our basic situation of impermanence and change, we could contact the fundamental ambiguity and welcome it. We don’t like to think of ourselves as fixed and unchanging, but emotionally we’re very invested in it. We simply don’t want the frightening, uneasy discomfort of feeling groundless. But we don’t have to close down when we feel groundlessness in any form. Instead, we can turn toward it and say, “This is what freedom from fixed mind feels like. This is what freedom from closed-heartedness feels like. This is what unbiased, unfettered goodness feels like. Maybe I’ll get curious and see if I can go beyond my resistance and experience the goodness.”

Remember Brother You Are Dying we live in a world void of the acknowledgement of death our humanness is minimized by fear our hearts smaller in the attempt to control an uncertain outcome so much of life is our death our ability to truly surrender to life must include our death as the gardens death every winter brings life in Spring as the cycle unfolds if we fear death we fear grieving for the loss of those we love in the state of grief, of loss we accept ourselves and our own mortality we feel our own rawness as living beings I am struck by the Christian fearful of facing death forgetting Christ was put to death as a powerful teaching grief and grieving are a soulful and difficult gift practiced in heartfelt ways across this world like seed sown in abandoned fields flowers of joy and remembrance

Be with those who help your being. Don't sit with indifferent people, whose breath comes cold out of their mouths. Not these visible forms, your work is deeper. A chunk of dirt thrown in the air breaks to pieces. If you don't try to fly, and so break yourself apart, you will be broken open by death, when it's too late for all you could become. Leaves get yellow. The tree puts out fresh roots and makes them green. Why are you so content with a love that turns you yellow? –Rumi Ode 2865 Trans. Coleman Barks
