– ; [ “ Hmm ? ] Sidekick ? “ she spoke, her expression bewildered. That was an unusual thing to say. Then again, you couldn’t always know what to expect from the deceitful boy. It was true that he had the tendency to be a bit dishonest, so sometimes she found him contradicting himself or saying things unexpected.

– ; [ “ I ] don’t think a sidekick is a proper position for you, myself, “ she admitted, pulling on the crimson scarf around her neck, adjusting it. “ To me, you have the potential to do some great things. Though if you want to stay on the sidelines, I suppose that’s alright. I think you’d make a great hero, working along-side Tsubomi and Kousuke as a team ! “

He knew that others within the Den, even more Ayano, had start to pick up the fact that he wasn’t the most honest person. Though, lucky for him it was mostly for the small lies that he was fine with. As long as he could hide his bigger lies a lot better then his smaller ones then that was good enough in the end.

“Yeah, I had a feeling you’ll say that! Though if I become a hero that means I have to do a lot more work then normal. I much rather let Danchou and Seto deal with that! I’ll enjoy the side lines and my nap time much more.”

– ; [ Listening ] to him compare his eyes and the eyes of his other siblings to those of the other members of the Dan made her smile more. Why ? Not even Ayano was sure why, maybe listening to all of the inquiries that the youngest sibling had was entertaining for her. Shuuya always did seem to make things interesting.

– ; [ “ Oh, ] I’d say that you three have had a bit more time to develop as heroes than the others. They’re on their way, though ! The three of you have come a long way. By taking in more kids like you into the Dan, that makes you their hero, doesn’t it ? That’s something that you should be very proud of, Shuuya. “

Should he be proud of being this so cared hero? Yeah, most likely, though he wasn’t one to like that sort of things. Maybe he even knew that deep down seeing that he never wore the white-side of his reversible hoodie. Closing his eyes, he let the smile that was stuck on his face stay there like always.

“Yeah, I guess so. Though if anything it’ll be Danchou and Seto mostly. I guess you can care me more of a sidekick...Plus being a hero sounds like a lot of work, and I can barely get in a single nap a day anyways!”

– ; [ Another ] question pertaining to the color red associated with heroes. This one, even Ayano had a bit of trouble answering ! Of course, ever since she was just a little girl, she had been so deeply enthralled by shows, movies, and even books that heroes played a role in. Though it seemed like a common portrayal of heroes to be associated with the color red, shades never seemed to matter.

– ; [ “ That’s ] a very good question. “ she replied, offering another grin. “ I suppose that the greater heroes have a much bolder and brighter red that they’re associated with while heroes still in the making have a softer shade ? That would certainly explain why you, Tsubomi, and Kousuke all have such vibrant red eyes. “

When she pointed out that the reason he had rather bright eyes was because he was one of the greater heroes. Of course, he chuckled to that answer, though deep down he didn’t feel much like a hero. If anything, he didn’t even think that the word hero would fit him. Though like always, he would just wear his mask just to make sure she was happy. 

“I guess that does make some sense! Though, then wouldn’t everyone in the den have some pretty bright red eyes just like us? Or is it just us that have the brightest?” If anything, he would think that the ones with the brightest eyes would be Ayano, though he was sure she wouldn’t take the complaint so there was no reason to say it out load.

Kano was rather bored within the den’s ‘base’ though that wasn’t anything new. How ever, what was new was that Takane was here for once, well at least in her human form, so there was now something he could distract himself with. Sneaking up behind her, he grabbed both her pigtails and started to twirl them around a bit. Of course, he was trying his best to not pull her hair.

– ; [ Ah, ] after all this time, Ayano hadn’t heard that question. In fact, she assumed that her little siblings would become curious, though she had assumed that they would have inquired earlier. A small smile creased her lips, just as warm as any of her smiles were, her eyes lighting up.

– ; [ “ Oh ? ] Shuuya, don’t you know that heroes are always associated with the color red ? It’s what distinguishes them from others ! That’s why red must suit us so well, huh ? “ A light laugh escaped from her lips, not finding the conversation to be amusing, per se, though anything less would be unexpected from such a cheerful girl.

Hearing what she had to say to his question just caused a small chuckle to escape his lips. If anything he felt like the reason it was red was because she liked the color quite a bit. Though of course, if that’s what she thought, then that’s what she thought and he didn’t mind.

“Yep yep guess so! Though if every hero is colored red, then how can we tell them apart? Or do they just all use a different shade of red?” Really, if he was a hero, he thinks that the black color of his coat would fit him more then the color red. Yet if Ayano thought red fit him then red it him the most, easy as that.

Shaking the can of spray paint he had within his hand, he fixed his mask a bit before taking a step back to look at the piece he was working on. Seeing what was left, he started to spray paint what was left to finish his art. Though after a while, he started to talk to himself a bit. “Wonder why this place has such a huge fence, guess it was a good thing I bring my wire cutters along this time with my spray paint box.” Of course, it never really struck him that this was an important building to the city and even more one with a silent alarm that had been set off now.

“You know, I never quite understood why red was the color of heroes.” Kano was never one to question Ayano, not in anyway, though he always had found it odd that she choose red to be the color of heroes. Maybe it was just the stuff she grew up watching with, and in theory he grew up watching also, though he didn’t remember much of what he watched when he was little.

“Oh? So there is a place down here! Oh oh, is it so hidden cause you sell drags? Oh! You sell body parts right?!” Really, the deceiver most likely knew that he shouldn’t have been here in the first place. Though something just drew him towards it, and not only that, it seemed like the only person that was here was the bartender. Who was kind of cute that was most likely way to old for him.
