i’m watching buffy for the first time and am currently on season 3 and all i can keep thinking about is how giles is such a father to buffy. like having to steady himself and sighing in relief when buffy comes home after running away… him not shaming her for sleeping with angel….. coordinating with her mom for joint custody..?!! and when buffy wants approval and support from giles, it’s not the slayer wanting approval and support from her watcher, it’s just buffy and giles
