Hey there Bobcats and other current and future quidkids alike, did you know there is another way to play some quidditch in the summer besides MLQ? Texas Secede League! Our Bobcat proud alumni Beth Peavler created a summer quidditch league to provide players around Texas an affordable, organized option for summer play. There are no tryouts for a roster spot, and you can sign up without any quidditch experience at all! There will be 5 teams based in Austin, College Station, Dallas, Houston and San Marcos, and 4 rounds of games including the championship. Although a little late, we would like to proudly announce yet ANOTHER Texas State Quidditch love success story! Daniel and Katie, longtime members, players, and past presidents- are engaged! They met at house games in the Spring of 2013, and have been together since that Fall. Katie is a Ravenclaw and Daniel a Hufflepuff, and as their love and commitment for the org blossomed, their love for each other came into fruition 💕 Daniel is currently in the Coast Guard, and Katie is finishing up her masters here at Texas State, and together, they make another #quidditchpowercouple love! Congratulations to Katie and Daniel, and here's to tour magical future! ✨
