I’m Your Destiny (Boku, Unmei no Hito Desu)

I’m Your Destiny premiered on Saturday and I finally get the chance to watch it today and sadly I have to say it’s a little bit of a letdown. Not that I had some sky-high expectations for this one but considering it’s basically a rom-com, it’s failing on both fronts. It’s not particularly funny and there is nothing even remotely romantic about it, plus the chemistry between Kamenashi Kazuya and Kimura Fumino is basically non-existent. They could have at least cast a second male lead who would give the male lead a good run for his money and add some tension, but naturally the guy is so boring you barely notice him on screen. 

The only two saving graces of this show are Yamashita’s amazing performance as the quirky “god” and the nostalgic bromance between him and Kame.
