600-word Evaluation

during this project, we were tasked to make a Talk show video or a map of an unknown place. we were put into teams and I wanted to do an unknown place. When I was called in asking if I wanted to do an unknown place I said yes. Then me and Matthew decided to work together in making a Talk Show video. Mine was Actor, Storyboarder, and Question writer. Matthews Whitehouse's role was Director, voice actor, Editor, planner, Intro creator, Fear video creator, filmer, Scriptwriter, and Logo designer.

Some of the ideas we came up with were children's stories overlapping with fears and comedy shows making fears funny and also the idea of boring shows to make people sleep. We went with the idea of normalizing fears by overlapping them with children's stories. I like this choice because we can research a lot of fears that a lot of people have everyone has compiled them into a long video and read out a children's story. I think that it would have been better if both of us were reading the children's book.

For the Children's story, we are going to be reading Charlie and the chocolate factory The reason why we are reading this book is that I think it is the best to read over fear clips because it is well known to people and it is an intriguing and fun book that can normalize fears being played over it.

We had to shorten the story down because it would have been too long to read Matthew wrote out the script I added the question he asks me during the filming. It turned out ok but I think it could have gone better if I had looked over the script or spent longer reading it. It also would have been better if I could have seen the word throughout the recording.

I then made the storyboards I drew out 2 of them from the same ideas of normalizing fear except one of them only had me in the video. we went with me only being in the video. I think this is a good idea because we need someone recording. I think I could have done better with the storyboards if I had spent more time on them and made them as clear as I could.

We both thought of names for the Talk show we were making it could have been better if we had thought of more names for the Talk show but I do like the name we chose Fear Factory I think it is a good choice it is catchy and can linger in someone's head.

I had to go out and collect a Camera, HDMI, Tripod, and other things because we needed them for recording I also had to book out the studio for Friday and some things went wrong because it was all booked out on Friday so we had to do it on Tuesday. Because it was at the start of the day We had to search around for steve. Another thing that went wrong was that it was going to take too long to export the video so we could play it on the project. so we had to split it up into parts. I think what we could have done better was be more prepared for the day.

I think I could have done better, in general, I didn't really help that much, Matthew did most of the work, and when it comes to the work I think I could have asked if he needed help. I also could have prepared more for this project. I could have acted better during the recording and also read my lines clearer.

Fear video

I think this turned out really well with the time we had. I think I could have done better if I looked at the lines over Saturday and Sunday before I did the filming. we ran into some difficulties with me not being able to see the lines on the script some of the time. We also couldn't figure out how to work the camera until we had half hour left to film. I think if we planned it out a bit further we could have avoided some of the technical problems I also think that I could have done better and read through the lines over Saturday and Sunday.

We chose charlie and the chocolate factory because it is a very well know children's story. Another reason why we chose this book is that we wanted something that can be said in a creepy or zombie-like tone that can be read over fear video happening to normalize the fear with the story.

Ethics

I think it is unethical to scare someone who has a chance of being affected with a surge of adrenaline which can kill someone and also cause someone to have a heart attack. but I believe it is ethical if they can expect it to happen or at least feel like it is going to happen.

I've made a storyboard of another concept of our idea. Where we are both on the show and we read the script in separate parts than in sync. I think that this was a good idea but impossible because we have only got 2 people in the group and we need someone to film.

Matthews Work ^^^

I like the colors that were chosen I think that they both suit each other. I like how the f is designed. I think that it has turned out pretty could. However, it doesn't look as refined as it can be I think that it is still very good, and the smoothness of the f is nice.

This is our storyboard I think that this is a bit rushed and could have been better designed however it shows what is happening during it I think I could have also done neater handwriting to make it more clear. I could have added a better background in the images that made it more clear on what would be played behind the person.

We used this to help me remember what I needed to get for filming our video. I also made this list so we knew what we actually needed for our production of the video.

We made a list of names for our talk show we went with fear factory because it was the shortest and most catchy and we didn't really like any other names that were on there however Charlie's fear factory was another good one but we decided to remove the Charlie to make fear factory. I think we could have thought of more names for our Talk show.

I like how the colour is simple and work well with each other I like how simplistic the design is I also like how clear it is. however, I don't like the background colour I feel like it doesn't go well with the colours of the logo.

I like how simple it is. The colours work well together I think that it is extremely effective in catching the viewer's eyes. I like the moon as the base of the logo I also like how the moon is still very detailed in the picture.

I like how detailed the branches are I think that it creates the effect o someone looking out the window and in the night with the tree's shadow being shown through the moonlight. I don't like how plain it seems because it hasn't got anything else going on. I think it could be improved if it was an animation with the tree branches moving.

What I like about this is how the explosion is projected on the man which could represent anything towards Human beings because destructive could mean we are similar to the explosion causing harm. What I think this represents is the is that explosion like this can be considered normal because the man is the thing it is projected on.

in this peer's assessment, I wrote down that I feel like I haven't done enough during this project because I only really did the acting and storyboard. While also researching names for our talk show. I could have done more and Matthew I feel has done enough for the group project. Also, it lets us show how we feel about the project itself.

Here we wrote a list of fears of what we could include in our video the reason we did this is that if we left it too late we may not have had any ideas of what fears we could put in the video. I think we could have also made some more ideas by expanding on some of them like blood We could do body parts missing and eyes bleeding. However, it is unethical to scare someone when it has the chance of causing a heart-attack.

Here we both gave ideas as to what the Talk Show could be about. We did this so we could gather more ideas then we can choose a couple of the ideas and then expand on them and go into further detail to get a better idea of our choices. I think we could have thought of more ideas to have more variety in the mind map.
