“Yeah, but we make them better. There’s safety in numbers or something,” she shrugged. “Nope.” She stopped walking when he did and looked around, nodding when she spotted it. “I’ve got it.” Leona smirked at him and pulled out a large knife. Moving forward, she grabbed the walker by the neck and jammed the blade into it’s head. “Shit.” Jumping backwards, she missed the second walker that lunged at her, followed by a third. “Shit, shit, shit! There’s like three more in the bushes, move back.”
“Or we put up a huge neon sign over the compound that says ‘Free eats!’” He smirked sardonically, adjusting the strap of his rifle on his shoulder in a more comfortable position. Tyler grinned as she moved forward to take care of the walker on her own, shaking his head minimally when she turned back to smirk at him. He was distracted, if only for a second, but that was all it took. “Leona!” He shouted as he finally noticed another walker right behind the one she had just knifed in the head. He lunged forward instinctively and grabbed her hand, pulling her back away from the walkers that were stalking out from the trees towards them. “There’s way more than three...” He pointed out and moved in front of her as he held up his rifle, only hesitating to shoot because gunfire would only draw more and they were far too close to the compound to risk more. They needed to head back. “We gotta go get more people. We can’t take them all on our own.”
