In Minnesota, we have this philosophy called “Minnesota Nice.” Let’s just say when I moved to New York, I was pretty shocked by the lack of niceness. But hey, you don’t seem like a terrible person, so I guess you’re right, not everyone there is mean.

I don't know it's true..because it isn't. Never heard of that about Minnesota. I didn't have enough experience with them to decide if something like that is even true about people from there but you don't seem to bad yourself.

When it comes to weather, you abso-freaking-lutely are. It gets to 30 degrees and January and you claim that Hell has frozen over! Everything else though, definitely not. New Yorkers can be….. a little abrasive sometimes.

What? That's crazy! We're not California, you know. I take offense to that but I'll let it go just this once. I've heard that a lot but I guess it depends, we're not all abrasive.

Yeah, I used to spend about two weeks there during Christmas time visiting my grandmother. We're not all babyish though. We can handle a little cold. I'm Tyler.

When you’re from Minnesota, hockey is everything. Like football in Texas or basketball in Indiana, only more. I’ve played my whole life!

Minnesota has some of the worst winters. I don't even think I've ever felt cold like that. I don't think it a New York winter can even compare. I'm not a hockey fan but it's intense to play.

The news? Not here, I wouldn't even understand it and searching for the channels in English is too complicated. A quarter million? I wouldn't even be able to sell all my organs in the black market to pay for that bail.. You're kidding though, right? Because if you're kidding you're making me paranoid. Wow.. I- I'm never going to be able to show my face at that museum again..

My parents made me go, but it’s not like I refused. A Lit major, god, that’s exactly what I wanted to major in but my father told me it was a bogus major. No offense. I’m a Poli-Sci major. Well, so far you’re the only one I’ve encountered. Yup, I have a tiny scar on my forehead to prove it. I’m pretty sure the security guards in New York have already phoned every major museum in Italy.

It's not a bad place from what I've already gotten to see. He thought it was bogus so you had to go with something else? Why didn't you just do what you wanted to do? No offense taken. You've even got the evidence and it's going to be more than that. You can use it in case you meet someone you've got nothing to talk about with. I've done it before with the scar behind me left elbow, it's a story that's been good to me. You know what, I might've seen your picture on some warning board while I was in the security office.

And yeah, it’s actually a pretty useful office, so much information on, well anything you’d like to see in Tuscany. So Tyler, you are obviously not from here, with your lack of understand Italian. Me too- well sort of. It wasn’t my choice. But, uh, what are you studying? We are sort-of neighbors. Wow, now I don’t feel that completely alone. Yeah- someone triple dog dared me, while I was just a wee bit drunk, and there’s no backing out of triple dog dares. So I pulled out my lighter and I was reaching out to light up the whale- security guards literally sprinted towards me and knocked me down. I nearly sued the museum for injuries. It was great. Highlight of my 2011.

Not your choice to come to Italy? That's kind of crazy, who wouldn't want to come here? I'm a Lit major. Now you're not the only New Yorker around here. I'm sure there's bound to be more. You were actually knocked down? You're a real threat to artifacts and other museum displays. The ones around here might want to watch out for you.
