I've been trying to find an artist for my comic for months now. I've spent thousands of dollars trying to find an artist but they're not what I'm looking for.
I figured I should show you the characters for what I've been trying to do. Here they are, the main characters of Buster & Bash: The Bandit Brothers.
The eldest of the three siblings and the most intellectual…or at least that’s what he considers himself. In reality Bash is just as incompetent as his little brother as he is so set in his ways that he continuously makes dumb mistakes. However, unlike Buster, he doesn’t let the mistakes get him down. If the opportunity presents itself he WILL make a backup plan.
He wants nothing more than to be truly worthy of the surname “Bandit” and he will stop at nothing to make sure he and Buster are just as good or even BETTER at being master thieves than his little sister Barb and deserving of their mother’s respect.
The youngest of the three siblings and Bash’s partner. He is actually quite smart. Smart enough that he can build the best inventions he and Bash can use for their crimes. Unfortunately, they either don’t work right or they use them wrong.
Despite his intelligence being high, Buster’s self-confidence is quite low. His hunchback is one of the reasons for his low self-esteem along with feeling that Bash is better at making plans than he is. Because of this (along with the fact that they are on opposite sides) he has trouble admitting his feelings for his crush Jane Jiang. He also has trouble putting two and two together and often needs his family to spell it out for him. But one thing is for sure, he wants to be a notorious thief just like the rest of his family, no matter what nervous stress he has to go through to earn it.
3. Inspector Antoine Croissant
Think of him as if Inspector Clouseau raised the son of Inspector Zenigata and Inspector Gadget. He is an incompetent, klutzy, and inept officer of the multinational super criminal fighting organization GLOPOL. He became inspector when he was assigned to lead the Bandit Brothers case, a case he was assigned to in the first place because Buster and Bash are so ineffectual and harmless that he was put in charge of arresting them to keep him distracted and unable to ruin any of the other officers important assignments.
However, regardless of why he got the job, he is passionate about his duty to the very last atom in his body. He has dedicated his whole career to catching Buster and Bash and is obsessed to sending them up the river for good, a phrase he never got because they’re going to prison, not a river. Just another reason on why he is quite foolish and bad at his job as he either causes the Bandits to get away or when he does catch them he causes them to escape within one or two days of their arrest. Not to mention he has an ego to boot. He is, however, an adept swordsman and is always carrying his trusty sabre with him, especially since GLOPOL doesn’t trust him with a gun.
Croissant’s partner and a rookie detective-in-training. At 17 years old, she just graduated high school, and as the youngest of 6 overachieving sisters who look down on her, she wanted a career where they can give her respect. Thankfully, her grandfather Ji Jiang is the president of GLOPOL, and she wants to become a detective so she can one day earn the position herself. Of course, in order to become a detective she has to work with a GLOPOL officer to teach her the ways, and much to everyone’s surprise she chose Croissant because she admires his tenacity towards arresting Buster and Bash.
Sadly, with the job comes the stress of trying to help Croissant with his MANY mistakes and regularly trying to keep him from killing himself. Though while she gets exasperated by him, she remains loyal to him, and truly believes he can become something great. Plus, she’s a strong martial artist so she can definitely take care of herself. In fact, she’s more likely to defeat the brothers herself, but Croissant’s ego must ensure that he gets all the glory.
She’s got it all: brains to solve cases, brawn to fight bad guys, and beauty to catch the eye of the shy Buster. Of course, she’s unaware of his feelings for her, but while it’s not reciprocated she does have respect for him and Bash enough to team-up with them should the need arises.
The middle child and Ma’s only daughter and without a doubt the favorite. She is the Most Wanted Thief in the world and more of a master criminal than her brothers.
Because she doesn’t respect them she has absolutely no problem with stealing their targeted object from them or double-crossing them. Hopefully she’ll learn to see her brothers as less-competent equals.
The matriarch of the current generation of Bandits and Bash, Barb, and Buster’s mother. She is quite large in both weight and in height (at at least 15ft. tall). With this size, she has massive superstrength. She is currently the 5th Most Wanted thief in the world, having reached the Most Wanted lists of every major country in the world when she was a teenager. While she does love her children, Barb is very much the favorite and the Brothers are frustrating disappointments. She does, however, have hope the two of them will make something of themselves someday.
A creation of Buster’s and his and Bash’s main mode of transport. An artificially intelligent robo-tandem bike. With the head of a bull, he is capable of doing a whole bunch of stuff when his nose ring is pulled.
The latest technological wonder from GLOPOL and Croissant and Jane’s main mode of transport. A robotic orangutan, he was assigned to Croissant when Jane wanted to work with him. While he serves as a robotic transport for the two by carrying them in his tummy compartment, his main programming is to keep Jane from getting killed. He and Bullcycle also have feelings for each other, but never get the opportunity to express them.
I'm hoping to start a fanbase before the first comic comes out....whenever that will be.
