Summer Days ✘ Sarella & Tyene ✘ August 28th
Sarella crossed the street amongst a huge, boisterous crowd. She fetched her phone from her pocket and, sure enough, it was three minutes past nine in the morning, and the Heart Tree was right in front of her. She knew Tyene was probably waiting for her already; Sarella was a semi-punctual person, yes, but she noticed Tyene’s habit of getting to places early or exactly on time at the latest.
She had just gotten back from Sunspear not two days ago, where she’d met with her sisters after spending some time camping along the Greenblood. She’d had a lot of fun with her family, yes, but there was one sister in particular she hadn’t seen in quite a while. Tyene and her had always gotten on very well, maybe almost as well as Tyene and Arianne, so Sarella’s desire to see her and catch-up over coffee was naturally reciprocated.
Yawning, she walked into the Heart Tree (thank god she’d be able to grab a coffee there) and scanned the crowd for her sister. She smiled when she spotted the dark-skinned blonde and walked over.
"Hey! Feels like it’s been over a century, doesn’t it?"
She chuckled and leaned over to kiss her cheek.
Tyene couldn't help but smirk at how exuberant Sarella was--it was a breath of fresh air from the usual deadpan, snarking folks she would often hang out with. Setting down her mug, she reached over for her sister and enveloped her in a tight embrace.
"I've missed you, babe," she said, smiling. She had been somewhat jealous over the fact that almost her entire family had spent the summer without her--but alas, she had more important endeavors to consider. That made her wonder if she smelled like weed. Gods, is Sarella gonna be able to smell the weed? Shit. Shit. I haven't showered since yesterday afternoon. Fuck.
Quickly she drew back, taking a sip from her coffee and smirking. "How was the trip?" Her red cheeks and farmer's tan gave away that she, at least, had somewhat enjoyed herself, but she figured she would let her sister tell her the rest.
