I think I am gonna reblog more of other peoples fakemon! I think other peoples creations are great (and frankly very inspiring) and they deserve to be seen. I am going to be using the tag #Other's Fakemon!

"Evidence that Pokémon once familiar to us have been spotted in the various dimensions linked together by Ultra Space, in the same way that Ultra Beasts have been spotted in our own dimension. Upon falling through an Ultra Wormhole, these Pokemon become bathed in a strange energy that seems to facilitate rapid changes and adaptations needed to survive in their new environments, among other speculated effects. We have dubbed them "dimensional forms," though internally we use the code name "ultra variant," or "UV" for short."

It seems that when exposed to the bizarre lands of Ultra Space, Eevee's evolutions take on new forms. I wonder what other strange forms we have yet to see! More info coming soon!

*More detailed lore later, but as a brief explanation on each one's inspirations:

-Vaporeon: polluted water, plastic debris and its impact on animals, mutations, oil and water don't mix

-Jolteon: overcharged long boi, they run through the skies and leave lightning trails behind them

-Flareon: explosive smoke cloud and shrapnel

-Umbreon: black holes and new moons because of Ultra Megalopolis's darkness theme

-Espeon: wise and (slightly) wrinkly sphynx cat with a 3rd eye

-Leafeon: bulky and ferocious tiger, stripes inspired by beta Leafeon

-Glaceon: bleached coral and asymmetry

-Sylveon: shinto shrine maidens and shide (zigzag paper streamers)

Typhitty (Grass/Water)

Typhitty lie at the bottom of rivers, allowing their long front whiskers to absorb sunlight above the waters surface. If they sense danger they will quickly swim downstream!

Design Notes

As you can see, for a brief period, Typhitty became a catfish! this was because Sprigatito had just been revealed and I decided I couldn't have a grass-type cat as well!

This year I decided to go back to the cat, but include many distinctly fish-like elements in the whiskers, fin/paws, and tail because why not make it a fusion of a cat and a catfish!

So! my big plan for 2024 is to remake all of my old fakemon into new fresh sprites! The oldest of these mons were sprited around 2018 (wow 5 years flys by fast!) and so I wanted to ask you guys something through a poll regarding how these would be posted!

Which of these formats would you prefer my redesigns be in?

Durabeetle (Bug/Fighting)

Durabeetle spend much of their time digging in the ground, eating metals, and collecting the metals they do not eat into dumbbell like objects to snack on later. These pokemon also enjoy using these objects to exercise their already strong muscles, usually with the goal of attracting a mate or intimidating foes. The strongest of Durabeetle are stronger than the best human powerlifters.

Puncholla (Grass/Fighting)

Puncholla are extremely territorial and will fight any Pokemon that attempt to enter their territory. When they punch an opponent their fists frequently get stuck on the opponent and disconnect from their arms. Luckily, Puncholla can regenerate their fists very quickly.

New sprite backgrounds!

Kinda based off of then HGSS Pokedex pages! I should also say me making these sprite backgrounds was inspired by TimelessShrine on the Pokengine discord server :D

thinking of posting my mons at larger sizes with maybe a fun background to go with them because Tumblr compression is really annoying and I want people to see the detail on my sprite! I like posting at the original size of the sprite but god does it not look great, especially on mobile!!

Pitoxin (Poison/Flying)

Pitoxin's feathers have the ability to secrete poison, which Pitoxin gets from eating poisonous big-type Pokemon. It's red feather's are especially toxic, able to knock out a large Pokemon in a matter of seconds.

Hydravenge (Dragon)

Hydravenge's biting tentacles come in two varieties. The red tentacles are known as their Awakened tentacles and these tentacles do much of the eating and attacking for the Pokemon. The Dormant Tentacles defend the bell of Hydravenge from attackers. Hydravenge is able to regenerate these Dormant Tentacles quite quickly, and if any of the Awakened Tentacles are destroyed, the Dormant Tentacles will turn red and awaken. Due to its regenerative abilities this Pokemon is thought to live forever.

Eggozoa (Dragon)

Eggozoa live in coral reefs near the beach. Their bell looks similar to a Togepi egg, so to feed itself this Pokemon hides amongst Togekiss nests along the beach and feed off of the unhatched eggs, and when a Togekiss approaches its tentacles hide inside it's bell.

I have been so damn busy recently that I have had no time to sit down and draw which sucks but I want to talk about fakemon right now!! So here my current idea for a mon that I have been focusing on:

The basis is the Hydrozoa class that includes a large amount of jellyfish and similar sea creatures. My idea is mix these jellyfish, specifically the immortal jellyfish (which belongs in that class) and the idea of the Hydra which in its own right is immortal in its extremely fast regeneration.

The idea is that The first stage will be a jellyfish who's bell looks like a classical Pokemon egg, while its tentacles are draconic, small hydra heads, with one being clear the main one. The second evolution will be a much bigger jellyfish with lots of tentacles resembling heads, multiples of the "main" head" and a bell that looks more scaly and gothic.

I still haven't figured out what type I want them to be. Dragon is obvious for the primary type but I am unsure about the secondary type. should I leave it pure dragon? Dragon water because it is a sea creature mimicking dragon like qualities? or perhaps I make it Dragon/Poison and go with the angle that the jellyfish stings with bites that are poisonous from it's tentacle-heads. Ill have to think about that...
