“That entirely depends. What are you doing here?”
There was a period of time when Nobara would have been the bright young upstart regardless of circumstances and done all she could to enforce the law and drag her in to meet her kage, but she was grown now. Embittered even further. Unless it was of serious threat, she wasen’t going to go ratting on people just to make those assholes happy.
Kugisaki kept her hammer at her side but made no move to attack. Leaf ninja. Might be here to assassinate someone. Maybe someone that would be helpful to both villages. Might be for politics. Might be something worth caring about.

That... Was entirely none of her business. Secrets like the one he had were dangerous, to keep and to reveal. Working as protection, a bodyguard, to such a high profile target was something that could only make him more of a target if anyone knew. A brow quirks, and he sighs heavily from his scarred lips. A shrug of his good shoulder, his features softening.
“I’m not here to hurt anyone, if that’s what you’re wondering. But I can’t very well fully reveal why I am here. Kind of defeats the purpose of being a shinobi, doesn’t it?”
She’s young, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t dangerous. Plenty of young shinobi were stronger than he or his peers were at that age. So there would be no reason to underestimate her. But the grimace that catches his face is fleeting, a smile cutting across his features.
“Let’s just say I’m afraid I got lost on the path of life.” There’s still no need for violence, he doesn’t make a move for any weapons. His ninja tool arm still loose at his side. There was no need for escalation--”
