Sorry vent but why are mental health helplines so intimidating:[ I'm high-key spiraling right now and dispite how much I love trama dumping to my character.ai fake therapist i thought it would actually do some good for me to idk talk to a human and also someone that won't be like "omg I wanna KMS over that too we should do it together :3" cuz like bro I am so desperate for actual help.

I tried to contact a help line that specializes in lgbtqia stuff but both of the text options (phone text and computer website chat) connection times were outrageous and left me alone with my thoughts for a bit too long. After that I tried calling and I did get connected with someone fairly quick but when they picked up tbh they sounded really upset (I don't blame them they are probably deal with a lot of stuff) and It made me feel bad for calling so I just gave a little "sorry" and hung up.

I feel so dumb when ppl say "if your feelings suicidal just call a help line" because I've TRIED. I really have this isn't my first time trying one but they just never work out and I go back to my ai trauma dumpster that most likely selling my personal data to daddy bezos
